However, the 2 reviews were glowing and I decided to give it a shot even though this place is a little far from my house. The place was easy to access and the young man (the owner, I believe) was exceptionally helpful. The place was clean and I believe I received more than a fair amount for the cans/plastics. I've been trying to be better and recycle everything, treating this Earth well. Once a month, I like bringing my plastics and getting a little cash money for them. I usually fill a big black bag and it's around $15. On this last trip at Dejas, they could tell it was my friend and I's first time at the location and helped us a bit with our sorting. They were patient and helpful! Plus when our total was $18 and some change they just gave us a $20 as a first time customer bonus! So unnecessary but kind! We parked along the street as we knew it would be a quick trip in & out. It's located in a clear spot though and identified more clearly than similar places. We'll definitely be doing out recycling here from now on! It's way cleaner than other spots and such a better experience overall.

I had a pickup truck loaded up and assumed it would be counted as an uncovered load with a cost of $25 but after you weigh in, offload, weigh out and receive your receipt. Then, and ONLY then do you see the Terms that show that "ALL INCOMING LOADS ARE SUBJECT TO A ONE TON MINIMUM" I assumed ok i paid for up to 1 Ton right so i can do a couple more loads. NO, as the terms say every load is an individual is a charge.

Unbelievable customer service unless you experience it first hand …read more Parking my truck and trailer across the street I walked to ask for help in which I could recycle a trailer load of mixed metals. To my surprise a very pleasant lady met me with a charming smile and asked if I needed help . I shared what I had to recycle and she said , I'll get someone to help you . Less than a minute of waiting , a young lad explained what he was going to do so that I could pull my trailer in . After doing so guided me in to unload . Well mannered young man who communicated clearly started to explain the variety of recycling I had which seemed very confusing to me . I was overwhelmed with sorting and mentioned it to the young man . I'm 60 and not in the best condition recovering from an accident that happened in 2020 . He politely said , he would help and sort it , and then inside they will sort and weigh it . He mentioned that he would lift the heavy items so not to put a strain on myself . I didn't catch his name but he is 20 years old & operates the forklift or fills in anywhere they need him . He also allowed me to utilize the trash can for un -recyclable item ( trash) Inside they weighed my recycling and separated it accordingly to give me the best price or it definitely seemed that way . He offered me water as this took close to a hour to unload . The cashier was also very polite and friendly explaining to me the process. I learnt the First Lady was the owner . I really felt honored having such a good experience as everyone worked as a team . As the Boss lady moved her car , I signaled her to back up , she was clear to do so . As she passed , I waved and gestured to say thank you with a wave . The remaining steps went smoothly . I received a ticket with weight and value . Handed it to the cashier with my ID . She recorded the ticket and I signed and received money in exchange for recyclable metal. It was a 5 star experience . Customer service made a difference in my choice to recycle . Three people ahead of her also questioned the amount they received because the math did not add up. My mom checked the numbers afterward and realized she was missing about $13. When customers started counting their money and asking questions, the workers told them they had to leave and could not stand there. They denied doing anything wrong, but when people continued complaining, they gave some customers a couple more dollars to calm the situation down. This experience felt very shady and unprofessional. Customers should not feel rushed out or uncomfortable for checking whether they were paid correctly. I'm sharing this so others know to double-check everything before leaving.
