I rarely leave the Cape without stopping at Jack in the Beanstalk. They stock Cape Traveler jams and jellies which I think are the best around and can't find anywhere else. Their salad bar is incredible and their soups, if I could get there early enough. are equally delicious. They also stock items it seems no one else has, like my dad's favorite pistachio cookies as well as fresh vegetables, fruits and bakery items. Made the silly decision to come here road race weekend. Traffic awful, parking chaos, but so worth it! This time I just got lobster meat which is so fresh and my fave cape cod chips (salt and vinegar for life!). This is one of those amazing little boutique stores with gorgeous produce and so many nice things to stock up for a lunch or dinner party! We came across this grocery store after spotting a sign that said Lobster Roll. How could we resist lobster roll? They had lots of fresh veggies and fruits outside, and some snacks as well. In the inside was more groceries, things that require refrigeration, such as milk and cheese. They also had some cut flowers. They also had some dried food, like cereals. What surprised me was this huge selection of wines on the wall. This was impressive, with the size of the store, they can give away this much space just for wines. They also had all sorts of baked goods and desserts right around the register, from apple turnovers, woopie pies, apple cider donuts, etc. To the left from the entrance was the ready-to-eat section. You can pick up some cooked food there, or go to the counter at the end, and order sandwiches to be made for you. This is where the Lobster Roll was made. Since they were not so large, we ordered two for us. A young female staff took our order and made the sandwiches right there and then. We got the lobster roll and apple cider donuts, they were both tasty and a pretty good value. The staffs were friendly and polite. read more

What a cute little grocery this is. I had to drop off some relay runners yesterday for the Cape Cod Marathon at Falmouth High School parking lot. Unlike the runners, my job was easy: wait around for 2 of the runners to come back, then drive them over to Falmouth Village. Anyway, I got pretty hungry waiting around for the 1st runner to show up, so I decided to chat with Siri and asked her to find me the nearest eating spot. She suggested I go here, which is only a 4 minute walk from the high school. Unfortunately, according to their Yelp page, they closed on Sundays. I don't know what made me call them (hunger maybe?), but I did. A kid answered and told me the store was opened. What a find! Such a quaintastic grocery with a couple of friendly workers ready to assist you. I went straight to the deli counter with the intention of ordering a sandwich. But written at the very top of the blackboard was LOBSTER ROLL at mp. I thought to myself, I am not going to ask her how much it is because it might deter me from getting it.....just go for it. She asked if I wanted the roll toasted, I said sure. On my way to the check-out counter, I grabbed a cup of coffee. Kid rang me up and the lobster roll was only $9.99! Really? That's super cheap for a lobster roll. Hmm, was I getting imitation lobster? Oh boy, the anticipation was killing me. They have tables outside. I immediately unwrapped my roll. Wow. Big smile spread across my face. First time I've ever had a lobster roll for breakfast and it was pure pleasure. Huge chunks of delicious lobster meat for only 9.99. Best price ever for a lobster roll anywhere. I wish I was a kid going to Falmouth High. I'd be saving all of my baby-sitting money to eat their lobster roll everyday. Anthony was very knowledgeable and helpful with the plans. The food was professionally delivered on time. The food was beyond wonderful.
