Consistent, delicious, and friendly atmosphere! A local favorite to grab your lunch, dinner, and/or dessert! Highly recommend their fish & chips! Quantity was plenty!

Another stellar meal at Captain Frosty's in Dennis. I had the fried scallop plate that was packed with sweet scallops, fries and a couple of clam cakes and hubby had the clam cakes and chowder. We love the place. It is so typically Cape Cod in there. Even the menu board reminds you of the old days. The folks taking orders were efficient, speedy and read back your order to make sure you got everything and nothing was missed.

I've definitely had my fair share of fried seafood/fish and chips and this spot was such a pleasant surprise! I am still thinking back to when we first ordered their fish and chips this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about how FRESH everything tasted!! From the fish, to the fries, and even the freshness of the cole slaw! The fish was perfectly cooked where the fish layers "flake off" and the batter was layered where it is neither too doughy nor falls off entirely. I am normally not a cole slaw gal, but the veggies in the cole slaw were so freshly crunchy and the sauce was not overwhelmingly creamy or savory that it was a nice adjunct to the main entree. Almost forgot that the plate also comes with 2 fried clam cakes as well that were not overly done either. The restaurant was insanely busy when we arrived 30 minutes before closing. (they closed at 8pm, so early on a weekend seeing how it's so busy at closing time!) Just note there may be a little bit of a wait with food after ordering considering how busy it gets. Essentially you order at the counter then if you're dining in then they give you a number and just find the table you're seated at and bring the food to your What we ordered: -Fish and Chips (comes w/clam cakes) -Twist soft serve w/cherry dipped

My favorite spot for all things fried seafood. Captain Frosty offers fresh seafood and decent portions in a laid back updated setting. It's a great family option for a leisurely dinner after the beach and offers easy takeout for those wanting to skip the crowds. I ordered the fish and strips plate which was loaded with golden fried deliciousness. The fish and clams tasted fresh and the batter was crispy and not too oily. The clam fritter had a nice doughy texture but a little on the salty side. The clam strip roll was absolutely loaded with clams. While on the pricey side, the portions and quality of the food are worth it. The restaurant had nice seating inside and shaded outdoor seating. It can be a bit tight if it is busy. At 5:30 pm the parking lot was already getting full and there weren't many open tables. Loved the vibe though. Easy to order takeout with toast. Plus you get text alerts when your food is ready. Not something you see with most old school places at the Cape. Great spot. Go give the Captain a try!

Ordered my lunch on a weekday, quick service & delicious food. There was a short line but it moved quickly.

I heard this is the place to go for fried seafood plates on the cape so of course I had to come here. I went with the fried clam belly plate, which came with fries, coleslaw, and 2 clam fritters. I think it was a little under $30, which I thought was a little steep at first but they advertise on their website it's all fresh local seafood so can't complain! For being fried, the clams were still very very flavorful and not too heavy. Easily the best fried seafood I've had. The fries were also good, nice and crispy and not too thick. I wasn't a huge fan of the clam cakes but that's not to say they were bad, just not my thing. There was plenty of seating inside at 2:30 on a Thursday but I imagine it gets busy on weekends during lunchtime. The employees were also very friendly. Would love to come back next time I'm on the cape and try the scallops and the cherry dipped ice cream, both of which looked delicious!

Super casual, roadside stand, atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. We went on a weeknight around 6:00 pm and there was a 30-minute wait for our food. The clam chowder and fish and chips were excellent and definitely worth the wait.

This place is adorable, the space is clean, well thought out, and comfortable. We were able to sit in the back patio which was lovely, plenty of shade. It's a no frills place, but the service was good! Really impressed given that almost everyone working there is young. The food is fresh and made to order and the price is fair. The seafood is definitely the star with minimum seasoning (I thought it could do with some salt and lemon but that's a personal preference). Great soft serve. This place is busy and for good reason, if you're in the area, it's worth a stop!

The lobster roll is good. I like the lettuce at the bottom to give it a different texture. Lobster tastes good too. There's indoor and outdoor seating.

While trying things on the menu I was happy to pick the shrimp tacos. They were perfectly cooked with pico, cotija cheese, and siracha aioli. The crust on the batter was flaky and light. Not a heavy batter and it didn't overpower the flavor of the shrimp. The shrimp tacos are not gluten free and they have a minimal amount of gluten-free options available. Most of their sandwiches have a gluten-free roll available for an extra two dollars. If you have a severe gluten allergy/ celiac disease, I probably would not risk most of the menu items. Thankfully, we were also able to order a rice bowl with plain swordfish and had no allergy related side effects afterwards. The kids menu is also great for options for littles while dining here. The view is nice, crowded if you're seated outdoors but the staff is awesome which makes it feel more like you're going to a friends house to eat. I'd come here again for drinks on the patio as their drink menu looked so good. A great stop for an outdoor lunch or quick stop with friends.

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but since we had reservations we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu and highlight the nightly specials. In the end, we all decided on the prix fixe menu, which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert--an excellent value considering the quality and generous portion sizes. After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, you'd never guess how large the restaurant actually is. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. There's plenty of parking available, and I'd definitely recommend making reservations, especially on busy nights. After all that time, you would think that the face of the business would be gracious for spending your time and money here when there are hundreds and hundreds of choices on the Cape. I'm truly genuinely curious if this is a reflection of the ownership or if they don't receive feedback about how the experience goes over. I get it. The service industry is thankless however, a little politeness and cheer goes a long way. Further, being told in a rather abrupt manner that there are no substitutions allowed is one way to convey the message, but not the only way. in the end, after another wait (maybe 15 mins more) at our table for the food to arrive, I was fairly disappointed with my lobster roll. The lobster meat did not even make it to the edge of the bun. I received coleslaw, which I was not interested in having (as you recall, "no substitutions allowed"). In fact, when I got home a couple hours later, I was hungry again. My suggestion, skip the long wait, the cash only option, and the not as picturesque or as delicious as I expected option, and try one of many the many other establishments in the area. One main positive: BYOB.
