Signage and storefront are very attractive. Inside dated Chinese decor. Lots of comfortable seating. We were greeted upon arrival entering and told to choose anywhere to sit. Waitress brought water right away and we could go to the buffet. Drinks came immediately . Buffet was lit up with red lights very hard to see the food and the items we not labeled . Not many choices on buffet. Egg rolls , Sweet and sour chicken and chicken wings are good. The won ton soup delicious. The other items fried rice, lo mein, goulash, chow mein, were mediocre at best. For one soda and two adults to eat buffet was $40.60. Then 20% tip, waitress deserved it, she was nice. Two things I did not like was the guest relations service and the food presentation. The people at the counter or receiving area was a little grumpy and all-business like when we came in to inquire about the food and pricing. There was no warmth or cordiality to the interaction. I also do not understand why they had to use red lights at the buffet table. It is hard to make out how the food looked with the red spotlights directed onto it. You will only ever see the food clearly upon bringing it back to the dining table. There were also no labels for the food. It will be nice to have some captioning or description as to what the dish is. (i.e. mixed vegetables, pork spring rolls, general Tao chicken, sweet & sour pork, etc.) I came in with my Muslim friend and he had to inquire which dishes had pork in them. The saving grace of it all was the really good price for the meal. Dinner was just $14.95 ($16.90 with tax) per adult individual. If you enjoy traditional American Chinese food, this is the place for you. No novelty here just very greasy food. The staff was friendly but the restaurant was dark and dim. If you like egg rolls, chicken balls, fried rice, the way your parents had then this is the place for you. read more

Worse food ever, we used to go years ago. But it has gone down down down hill . the red lights over the food cover up how bad it looks, only 10 choices to choose from, very greasy., the pork was greasy and bad tasting. please don't waste your time or money.. the service one waitress and a person behind the counter. read more

A Cornwall institution. The buffet hasn't changed much in 30-some years, other than the addition of fries, beefaroni, and a pork dish. I can't even remember what they replaced. I believe there's only two vegetable dishes in the buffet, but people don't come here to get their veggies. This is a meat town. I always liked the won ton soup here, often getting more than one bowl. On this trip the won tons were really over done, but it was within an hour of close, so who knows how long it had been simmering. The egg rolls seem smaller than I remember, but it's a buffet, just get more. Everything else was as expected. Ribs were good, chicken wings were good, chicken balls were more ball than chicken, but they're really just a cherry sauce delivery system anyway. I have a lot of fond memories of this place from childhood, to high school, and beyond. It's easy to get lost into the fog of the past here as the decor hasn't changed, or the uniforms, or the silverware. They did change the bowls and plates at one time though, so you can't have everything. There was a "Jack Lee" at one time. He had a standing bet with my dad that if he ever forgot my dad's name, the meal was free. We never did get that free meal. read more

Jack Lee's is a Cornwall fan favourite due to it's low price and large, canadian-chinese selection. When you walk in, you are greeted by the hostess who tells you to pretty much park yourself where ever you wish. If you're going with buffet, you can immediately begin to serve yourself. The variety is mostly "fan favourites". Terrible fries, chicken fried rice and regular rice, over-doughy chicken balls, chicken wings, several types of noodles and cherry and plum sauces. For approximately 9$ a person, you can indulge for about an hour's worth of time. Don't forget the jello and rice pudding you can get when you're done. Come here if you want to eat a lot, take out the kids, and feel like you came out ahead. The won-ton soup is hot but not exceptional, and sometimes the food is burnt. But I've never got food poisoning here, and we keep coming back for more! read more

Food was good many years ago but now tastes like leftovers. Everything has a fishy taste and flavours do not seem right, even the wonton soup which usually tastes pretty much the same everywhere... if you remember this place from before it is definitely not what it used to be! read more

When I come to Cornwall I come here here from time to time. Jack Lee's has been around for a long and you can tell that the decor hasn't changed much. I've always come here for buffet (not sure if you can order specific dish ). They don't have a large selection ( about 12 items) but the staff is pretty good at replacing when an item is getting low. The won ton soup is a popular item. For desert there is rice pudding or jello. The best thing about this place is the price (9.99$). At that price you enjoy the food without expecting high quality. read more

Terrible food. Buffet was strangely lit by blazing heat lamps. Impossible to get a good clear look at the buffet food. May have been a good idea to keep it indistinguishable. Saw rice being stirred at one end of buffet and transferred by spoon to the pan at the other end. No labels on buffet food. Lipstick stains on water glass and I don't wear lipstick. Ambience reminds me of a seventies Chinese restaurant. The buffet was fair. I was impressed with the rapid refilling of the buffet. Would have felt better if employee doing refilling had on apron and gloves. This restaurant would have received a lower rating if not for proprietor making you feel like one of the family. - but would I go back for the food - NO. read more

Pretty much like what everyone else says, this place is a staple in Cornwall. Cheap and you get good enough food options that you shouldn't complain as you are full for the same price as a burger elsewhere. The eggrolls are really good, so are the ribs. The chicken balls are hit and miss, I guess it all depends on the day. I've had them where they were all chicken, and other times mixed. Rice is rice. The best tip is go when it's peak meal time - like around 4:30pm for dinner. Everything is fresh and no lines. For lunch, I find it's best at 11am or 11:30am. For $6 at lunch or $9 at dinner, seriously, it's a great deal! read more
