this is the only consistently good Chinese food in the North Country! Every dish is good and made fresh, they have tons of vegan and vegetarian options as well as GF. The service is always quick and helpful, I've never eaten inside so I can't speak to the feel of the restaurant but their take out is always top tier. read more

This place is shot, ordered our food online, and came in with the order confirmation, the lady told us she didn't receive an order online, and that we need to leave unless we order food. Tried to show her the order confirmation from the website, and she said "I don't know you, I don't trust you, you order or leave" I use to come here all the time, and even convinced a large portion of my friends and family that this was decent Chinese restaurant, but after today's interaction, they can go fuck themselves. She didn't even take the time to check their online system for faults, and now I have a meal charged to my card that I did not receive because something on their end got messed up. No customer service skills at all, no attempt to resolve the issue. This place does not value their customers, And no establishment should treat people this way. read more

there are many businesses in the canton area, and like us they most likely order lunch. we work in a very busy company and delivery makes things so much easier. however the chinese place says they deliver when college is in session however you order and call to confirm and they tell no not until 4p which there page doesnt say anything about not until 4 and this is after they want a tip for the deliver fee. they would get alot more busy if they would deliver to businesses during work hours. and they need to update there site because as far as we are concerned taking a tip just to make the food and not being convient is kinda of a rip off read more

I ordered shrimp chow mein online and received shrimp and cabbage. When I called to tell the receptionist about the mistake she said, "Lo mein is noodles and chow mein is with vegetables. People always get this confused." Now, you would think if people are always getting confused, they would change their menu or put a disclaimer like, "This is not really chow mien. DO NOT ORDER!" Personally, I've never heard chow mein not containing noodles. So, I googled it and it turns out, chow mein translates to fried noodles. Hmmmm...maybe this is why people are confused when they receive steamed cabbage instead of fried noodles. Based on this and past experiences, I am giving this place one star. read more

5 Stars for the food, 3 stars for the atmosphere.... I would give this place 5 starts if it was solely based on food. I have moved to Boston and still have yet to find Chinese that matches their quality and taste. The atmosphere is typical chinese takeout with a few tables and not much else. I usually take-out but the food is still hot when you get it home because it is piping hot when you pick it up. The prices are outstanding and a single combo special serves two at least. They have a very good buffett which has many of the same dishes but I still find the food the freshest if you order it at A-1. My brother-in-law eats this almost every day when he and my sister visit Canton because he can't find anything that matches it where they live. I recommend the Mu-Shu Pork and the General Tso's Chicken (the best version of this dish I have ever had). read more

I thought this place was kinda trife. The inside is busted, like a corner chinese store in West Baltimore. The food wasn't much better. I ordered Kung Pao which was generously portioned but ultimately bland. I like it spicy and this certainly was not. The price wasn't bad, about $8 for a lot of chicken and rice. They also gave me ten soy sauce packets. I used them all. As the only chinese restaurant in Canton this place kind of has a monopoly. I would still avoid it unless I really wanted an egg roll. read more

OK, I've had to edit my review after a couple of meh experiences. Nothing horrible, but the last time I picked up takeout there, they screwed up part of the order (asked for white rice, got this gross pork fried rice), there was no broccoli in the sesame chicken (which was also overcooked and mushy), and the chicken with Chinese vegetables smelled so nasty that I couldn't eat it (though this may just be a preference thing). Most of the time, our experiences have been positive... Should probably be more like a 3.5 stars, if that were an option. read more

If you're in canton and want any kind of chinese food this is the place. It is probably the best place north of syracuse. It's fast food, but all things considered they are better quality as far as that goes. They're also decent about accommodating to diets and food restrictions, you need to make sure you ask, but they're generally willing to accommodate. read more

I go to SUNY Canton and one day I was craving some Chinese food, so I decided to give this place a try. When I walked in I was greeted immediately and the atmosphere was good. I would recommend NEVER ordering food from this place. You would be better off ordering directly from China, and waiting for the food to arrive in New York. They are extremely slow, and when I called to (very politely) ask how long it would be (after 45 minutes) the woman was extremely rude and hung up on me. So yeah, don't order delivery! read more
