Wife booked sessions with Laura Craig.I willingly went. After about three sessions I was booked for a 4th on my own and showed up 10 min late due to traffic. I met the receptionist in the lobby and she looked in the book and Said I did bot have an appointment.stunned I called her cell phone. No answer. I contemplated just going in upstairs into her office, but instead took a photo of the unattended schedule book at front desk to show there was no apt for me. To this day I regret not going up. That night wife calls up furious that I missed apt. I told her it was messed up. Next week apt I show the doctor picture of schedule book. She begins to panic and spends 15 minutes investigating. Then she comes back and shows me another apt book with my name saying the receptionist had the wrong book and and I needed to erase those pictures right away. That was her major concern. That said next session my wife and her were pushing me to take anxiety medication. I dug in saying that every spouse wants their other half to change after 10 years. It turns out that my spouse was highly successful while taking meds. I did not know this until counseling. So I said "taking pills is not an option for me at this point. You have been listening to us for weeks and what I want from you is a list of 4 exercises or items we can do at the end if this session" She replied " I would not want to do that because if it did not work you would blame me" lady! Our marriage is on life support, there is nothing you can do to hurt it. So we agree to get me a male counselor that she she refers. Two weeks go by and no answer...turns out that the referred Dr did not even have the comnon courtesy to reply back saying they were not taking new patients. Finally she refers me to Dr somers who owns the practice. I go to the booking and they ask if I am a new patient. I say no I am seeing Laura Craig one of their people..,they say that does not matter you're a new patient and have to wait 2 months for an initial consultation! Guess what???? End of my beloved wife's patience. You be the judge.

She prescribes medication for my depression and also for attention and concentration. She is extremely caring and very capable. For a period of time I was unable to fall asleep due to pain. Heidi worked with me to find the right sleeping medication that made it possible for me to get some sleep. She really tries to do the best for each patient and, from my experience, she succeeds. I highly recommend her. I have had no other dealings with any other persons at Somers Trust Psychological.

    I attended this Intensive Outpatient Program for several months. In the beginning, the program was…read moregenuinely helpful. The targeted psychotherapy was meaningful, and the structure of having a place to go several days a week provided stability during a difficult time. For that, I am grateful. However, as time went on, my experience changed significantly. The group sessions became increasingly focused on substance abuse rather than mental health, which did not match my treatment needs. I also noticed a clear difference in how staff interacted with participants. Younger women who did not question the clinicians or challenge any approaches seemed to receive more attention and support, while those who asked thoughtful or critical questions were often overlooked. This dynamic made the environment feel uneven and less supportive. I also want to address a phrase I saw repeatedly in online reviews: "Luna saved my life or my clinician saved my life." I strongly disagree. Only you can save yourself. A program can offer structure, but it cannot do the work for you -- and it certainly did not "save" me. Another issue I observed was the attitude of some -- not all -- clinicians. A few seemed to believe they were the best in their field. But if that were truly the case, it raises a fair question: would they be working here? Confidence is important in clinical work, but dismissiveness or superiority does not create a supportive therapeutic environment. I also realize this is a business, and businesses need to make money. But over time, I noticed the focus had shifted immensely from providing genuine clinical help to prioritizing profits. That shift was reflected in the way decisions were made, how patients were managed, and how billing was handled. There were also administrative and communication issues that became impossible to ignore. I repeatedly asked when I would be stepping down to half day sessions and was told to "keep showing up" and that I would be informed when the time came. Months later, I was suddenly told that I had already been considered half-day for some time and would officially step down the following week. Despite this, my patient portal continued to show billing for full day sessions and still does. This leads directly to one of the most concerning parts of my experience: questionable billing practices. Being told I was half day while still being billed for full day services is not a small oversight -- it is a serious discrepancy that raises concerns about accuracy, transparency, and how patient billing is being managed. Shortly after stepping down, I was asked to set an end date for discharge. While I understand that this is a temporary program, I felt pressured into choosing a date even though my insurance clearly still sees a need for treatment. If insurance is still authorizing care, it is unclear why I was being pushed out rather than simply continuing until coverage naturally ended. Many people came and went during my time there -- often because their insurance stopped paying or because their jobs could no longer hold their positions. None of these reasons applied to me. Yet I still felt rushed toward discharge without a clear clinical explanation. While the program offered structure and early support, the ongoing issues with communication, questionable billing practices, staff responsiveness, clinician attitudes, profit driven decision making, and discharge planning ultimately overshadowed the positives. Based on my full experience, I cannot recommend this program in its current form.
