Steals from the vulnerable senior citizens! Told customer needs new pumps to the tune of $1200. Second opinion, no motor change required.

Doing business with this company is one of the WORST DECISIONS OF MY LIFE! One year update:…read more(Original review below) This ridiculous company just charged me a $200 fee because I didn't buy enough fuel from them in the last year, yet they have failed to do everything they ever promised- making buying fuel incredibly difficult. 1) I never got a tank with a gauge or way of measuring fuel level as promised 2) I never got any assistance setting up the pump as promised 3) I called to buy more fuel and asked for a "stick" or other manual measuring device and was told they would provide one, but they never did. 4) I called AGAIN to ask about a manual measuring device and was told they would provide one, but they never did. 5) Finally, I called to order more fuel "just guessing" the amount needed but wanted to switch to a different Octane rating. Was told "Unsure if I could do that...and would have to call me back". Never did. But they charged me $200 for not ordering more fuel. And of course not by invoice, but by ccard charge on random day without warning. SO RECAP: Sign up for service. Tank installation delayed. Wrong tank comes with no gauge. No help setting up pump. Gas delivered without order and in random amount. Wait weeks trying to get someone to return your calls about the unordered gas error. Finally pay extra out of pocket to stabalize gas. Begin asking over and over for any way to measure the fuel. Finally guess how much new fuel you need and be told you have to wait to order. Then be charged a fee for not reordering. So you've got a junk tank with no gas in it and you're still paying this stupid company in surprise fees. ORIGINAL REVIEW:I saw the bad reviews without much information and ignored them. I went ahead and opened a new account with this company and it's been a horrible experience. Even setting up the contract was a pain. It took two weeks of phone tag and resending emails 5 or 6 times to finally get the account set up. I set up a new gasoline delivery contract with the company after I was told the tank they installed would have a fuel gauge on it and no gasoline would be delivered without my calling in to order a delivery. The tank that was delivered did not have a gauge. I called my sales rep and left a message which was never returned. They just charged my card on file for installation. While I was waiting for the call back about the tank I got an invoice in the mail for over $1000 for the delivery of gasoline. I went out and looked in the tank and was surprised to find it full of fuel. They did not wait for my order. Instead they decided to deliver a random amount of gasoline of their choosing on a random day and bill me for it. I called the company and spoke to several people. Each person explained why it was someone else's problem. Eventually I was promised "a boss" would call me back. A full week later I've received no return call, but my card on file was billed for the $1000+. I called again today to more precisely explain the problem. I can only use so much gas per month. If they deliver more than I can use it will eventually go bad or have to be stabilized at additional expense. And even if I stabilize this gas so that I can use for a longer period of time, what if they decide to deliver gas to me AGAIN without me ordering it and top off my tank? The lady simply replied, "Gas doesn't go bad" which is absurd. Everyone knows if you put 6 month old E10 gasoline in an engine you will cause problems. I've been dealing with them for a month and I've had a single delivery and it's been nothing but trouble. If things improve I will change my rating. OLD EDIT: I eventually got a call from the owner who apologized. I asked him to credit my account the amount it was going to cost me to stabilize the extra fuel and he agreed. Still not an ideal situation, but a step in the right direction. I added a star to my review and I'll see how it goes from here. If things continue good I'll update again and increase the rating. NOTE: They did not improve.

Neither was empty and both had been used a little, might need 2-5 gallons between 2 30lb tanks. Due to this reason, I did not want to do a tank exchange and asked the campground I am in for a place to fill propane. I was referred to this location. Upon arrival, there were a couple workers at the filling point of the propane tanks. I unload both tanks and inform them that neither is close to empty and just wanted to top them off. The tanks were filled with just a couple lbs each and given back to me to load. After placing them back in my truck I start to head to the office to pay for the propane they had filled. I asked the employee if he could tell me how many gallons were given to tell the office so I can pay. At this point he informs me that there is no meter and they will just charge for a "top off" After going inside, I find out that they do not charge per gallon but a flat price for an empty cylinder. Since neither cylinder was anywhere near empty, I was charged for 60lbs of Propane!! I asked to speak to a manager and was told none were available. I asked for a number to speak with a manager and was given a number to his voicemail. Multiple messages have been left and none have been returned. Do not waste your time, there is little to no customer service and I was charged $50 just to top off the tank. Unfortunately since the tanks were already filled I had no choice but to pay. This is horrible service and not upfront about the charges!!!!

My fire place uses very little propane to run so for years I've not needed a refill. The agent claimed that they would take would now try and reclaim the tank. They had 5 years to come and reclaim this tank from the previous owner and they failed to do so. Statute of limitations are expired and this is now considered abandoned property. Shady company just trying to solicit unwanted subscription services and then assert claims based upon expired contracts that won't hold up in a court. Do not recommend business with this company.

I kept telling calling and telling them it was leaking and was told that they "could" send someone out but if they determine it's not leaking, they'll charge us for that too. After spending hundreds of dollars a month every month for an 800 square foot house, we FINALLY got them to check it and the service guy said it absolutely was leaking (no kidding, we could literally hear it hissing!) and replaced the lines. He told us we'd receive a credit for the previous months that we were charged. He was literally fired the next week and we never received a credit. We've also requested (for the past 2 YEARS) someone to give us a price on installing a heating unit in our garage. We were told they'd send someone out in a week or so. In 2 years time, we've asked more than 10x's. I ended up ordering a unit online and we have another company installing it this week. Customer Service is not their thing, neither is follow-thru.

After such a terrible experience, I needed to regroup and get a new clothes washer as soon as possible. I accidentally found the Appliance Home Store when I was Googling local businesses. I went to their website, reviewed their inventory, and found one I liked within a few minutes. I actually went to the Appliance Home Store in West Columbia beside Big Lots, which is closest to my house. I walked in when they opened and had my purchase finalized within 20 minutes. Two hours later, same day, the washer was delivered, set up, and tested by the nicest movers I have ever done business with. I purchased a state-of-the art GE Profile 5.0 capacity washer for the same price I got my basic Whirlpool 4.5 washer that died after just 6 months. It was the most seamless transaction and delivery I have ever experienced after years of dealing with both the good and the bad when purchasing major appliances. Just for fun, I checked other competitors for this same washer and most of them are out of stock and on backorder. I cannot say enough good things about the Appliance Home Store and their awesome service. They charge a small nominal fee for delivery, set up and haul away of old appliances, but it is worth it and these guys are one of the few that can do same day delivery on major appliances.

My lightly used 3 yr old spa was tripping the breaker and Ken replaced the heater. CalSpa was considering covering it despite my house being a rental but Jeff of Palmetto Hot Tubs refused to provide the proof CalSpa requested (probably because the heater wasn't broken in the first place, so he had no proof). Then Jeff called CalSpa to be sure they flagged my spa as being in a rental (they knew, he was just being spiteful)! My next renter reported the tub not working. Jeff demanded $690 despite it exhibiting the same exact behavior (tripping the breaker). I said I'd pay when they fixed it, and they threatened to send me to a collection agency, then they told me "Do not call the store anymore" - just like the other review where the guy said they blocked him. Jeff also accused my electrician of a bad wiring job, and said that I almost killed their technician. That was false. I wrote to the owner Craig Hunsicker, with whom we spent over 10k. If he resolved the issue I wouldn't be publishing this review. Crickets! Shocked that he didn't read the bad behavior in the email trail and apologize profusely. Jim of Aquatic Spas and More in Hilton Head fixed it. Turns out I'm one of many Palmetto customers with a shockingly bad story. And, the issue was the motor (not the heater). Its from China so its crap. Unlike Palmetto, Jim agreed that a motor should not die after 3 years of use, rental or not, and he is going to bat with us with CalSpa.
