I am updating my review for two reasons: I wanted to amend the name of my hygienist and I just had…read moredental implant for the first time. The name of my most capable hygienist is Sandi, not Cindy. Unkowingly I have been call her by the wrong name all these years. Sandi is very dexterous and thorough in cleaning my teeth. She is so experienced that she knows all about my teeth in and out. I know that I am in good hands caring for my teeth. You must ask for Sandi if you need to clean your teeth. As for Dr. Wasserlauf, I just had a tooth implant, for the first time under his care. He was amazing! While he was working on my tooth, I did not feel what was going on in my mouth. He prescribed pain medicine for me but I did not need it since there was no pain in my mouth after the surgery. Dr. Wasserlauf restored all my teeth to good condition that were very badly looked after by a dentist when I lived in Hong Kong. Without Dr' Wasserlauf's care I would have been wearing dentures at a young age. Dr. Wasserlauf is capable, conscientious and caring beyond monetary gain. Do not hesitate to visit Dr. Wasserlauf and/or Sandi for dental care. They are the best!

I was petrified and he put me at such ease . I can not recommend this office enough . The staff is just as exceptional as the dentist . It's such a rare thing to find a dentist I trust and feel comfortable with but they are the Diamond in the rough!!! Wish he was a general dentist because he would be mine . The doctor even called me the evening I got my tooth extracted to check in on me . You don't find doctors left alone dentists that have such compassion. They truly care about everyone that walks in the office and are not money hungry like most . Do yourself a favor and go see Dr.Wasserlauf you can thank me later

In the beginning of August 2025, I went to get a dental cleaning at Dental Associates. The dental…read morehygienist's hand was very shaky and she appeared to be fresh out of school. After the cleaning was done, the front-desk guy told me that I had some cavities and potential for cavities and some fillings needed to be done. He never pointed to the exact teeth on the Xray. Mind you, an office administrator suggested this work to be done, not a dentist. I shrugged it off because I was suspicious of his intentions. I regret not listening to my intuition. Three and a half months later, I felt some sensitivity on one of the pre-molar teeth on the right while brushing my teeth. So I thought "ok maybe that's why he wanted to do fillings on that side." I proceeded to book an appointment to come a few days thereafter to do the fillings. Before they did anything on me, they did an Xray to see if there's anything wrong with the tooth where I felt sensitivity brushing. They looked at the Xray and said there's nothing wrong there. I should've left the office at that moment, but I thought "ok, well they did the Xray and told me there's nothing wrong with that tooth and I've gotten fillings done elsewhere years ago and it was painless so ok, why not do the fillings they suggested?" I was trying to get more information on the particular teeth that they wanted to do fillings on but they never provided any Xray or any teeth numbers. I made the worst decision of my life and decided to proceed ahead with the fillings. Oh boy am I paying the price for that mistake. Dental Associates did not have me sign anything that day to approve of the procedure. After they completed the fillings and before I left their office and before I even put anything in my mouth to know if the procedure went well or not, the male front-desk male employee, who I assume to be an office administrator or the practice's salesperson, told me that "this is only the first step," and "maybe later we will have to do a root canal." For the second time, he was recommending procedures to be done on me without showing me any Xrays or photos. How would he know that I needed a root canal? I should've asked him that question then, but I did not because I placed my faith in these medical professionals. As soon as I got out to my car and drank water, I had cold sensitivity on the right side of my mouth on one of the top two teeth that they filled. I'm still trying to fix the problems caused by this office. A few weeks later, I went to another dentist because I obviously lost all faith in Dental Associates after playing the events back in my head. The other dentist told me that they were teeth #3, #4, and #30 where Dental Associates did their fillings. Tooth #4 went well, but tooth #3's filling broke off. Tooth #30 had a chip which wasn't there before - this was presumably caused by the dentist at Dental Associates when she was trying to shave off the filling to make the bite even. My front teeth are feeling sensitivity to the cold as well. I'm not even sure if Dental Associates worked on these front teeth without informing me, because I was under anesthesia and had my eyes closed. It's just bizarre that they all became sensitive around the same time. Right now, the entire right side of my mouth is not feeling well and as mentioned, I'm still in the process of fixing the damage done. With the evidence presented from my experience, it appears that DAG recommended unnecessary procedures for me.

Bad review for Dr. Nocerino…read more I started coming to this office when Dr. Murphy owned the place when I was a child. After he retired, Dr. Nocerino took over and I didn't really have the same pleasant experiences I had previously. The atmosphere was just weird. I also had a minor cavity on the side of my tooth several years ago and had that filled by Dr. Nocerino. I went back to NY and months later it fell off...I went back to CT to have it fixed and it was fine...although...a couple years later I decided to switch to a NY based dentist as I was no longer living with my parents or under their insurance plan. I had an x ray the other week and they said my previous dentist (Dr. Nocerino) had accidentally drilled into my neighboring tooth that was completely fine...and I had to get my filling re-done on the side of my tooth because it wasn't done properly and was coming off. So years later this comes back to me and bites me in the butt and I'm obviously not happy...I had to pay $420 for this mistake...I now go to an all female staff dentist and they're so efficient and have the latest technology. On top of my experience, apparently this office has a lot of patients and my family makes an appointment waaaay in advance and the front desk always says "call morning of your appointment to make sure it's still ok to come in". They call and their appointments are cancelled. How fishy....When people make appointments, honor them....what is this selective favoritism whatever? What is this based on? Really sketchy.
