Long story short, I had to have a procedure done that required pain deadening. I can honestly tell all that everyone in this office was very friendly and professional. I then met Dr.Soares who realized my apparent nervous state who then very plainly said he was going to get rid of my pain and I should be all done very shortly... Which was exactly what happened. I've always hated the line that most Dentists say... "You may feel a slight prick' before they jab you with the first needle. Dr.Soares never said anything about needles or feeling any pain. He simply said I would be feeling some slight pressure. I was done before I knew it and most importantly, my pain was gone. Dr.Soares kept his word... I am admittedly weary of going to see a dentist which I believe may have something to do with past experiences when I served in our military... Also the haircuts weren't too great neither. Seriously, I still have my dental reservations although my wife Amy who is a RN is insisting that I follow up with more preventive visits. I talked to Justin (the doctor) and he helped me with a specific problem I was having with a front tooth. First they took X-rays to confirm I had no cavities or issues. Then the cleaning, and finally the Zoom of Doom (looks like the war of the worlds weapon that creates the beam). I achieved quite a few shades whiter teeth with two 30 minute sessions. The only issue I had is with the receptionist Danielle. She didn't seem overly enthused about answering questions on the phone. I would recommend Appletree for a great job, a good experience and a lot of value. The Dr. answered all my questions in depth and made sure that I was happy.

I got traumatic dental injuries for 3 of my front teeth and Dr. John got teeth-splinting done and repositioned the teeth. At first, they also asked me to get root canals at the price of $5,000 even with my good dental insurance! (Later on, I got my two root canals done from different place for only $270 with my insurance covered 80% of it). Thanks GOD I did not get my root canals done there... I saved my teeth!! Anyways, so I said I will only get splinting done for the day and they did not seem happy. So how did the splinting go? It was done so freaking poorly that I even could not close my mouth properly or chew anything. I ended up going back there few hours later to complain and get it redone once I realized that something definitely went wrong, and Dr. John never admitted that something has done wrong by him with very horrible attitude. At the end, another female doctor came in, fixed the splinting, and repositioned my loosen teeth to the right positions. Even she could see what has been done wrong. I have a pretty good dental insurance and (still) paid $250 for the splinting. The problem was that they recommended me to get the essix retainer and asked me to pay $450, saying that I need it and they are giving me a good discount, blah. Turned out that 1) the splinting has done very poorly that it broke after 2.5 weeks. My current dentist said they did not use any metal wire or whatsoever and just used resins all over, which caused the breaking. 2) The essix retainer was not necessary at all from the beginning. AND the right price for essix retainer is usually around $180, NOT $450, EVEN for those who do not have dental insurance. Oh, and the assistant was not skilled at all that she could not keep it up with what doctor asks to give him during the procedure. I know people need money but this is so sad to watch. Their horrible attitude is just not even surprising. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE IN ANY MEANS!!

I had to get a crown on one of my two front teeth - apparently every dentists' worst nightmare because the crown must match the shape and color of the other front tooth (or the original tooth being crowned) exactly or else your smile changes. During the consultation they were excellent. Dr Harrison and Donna talked me through all my options (crown one tooth, crown nothing or crown both front teeth to make sure they match). With each option given, Dr Harrison and Donna discussed the pros and cons including how it might affect my smile and my face. This was really important to me. I knew they weren't focused on just getting the job done and getting paid. They were focused on getting me the results I was looking for. We decided to do just the one tooth. Donna called me to see if I had any questions and give me prep and whitening advice before coming in. When they were prepping the tooth and putting in the temp crown I was able to pop my headphones in and zone out. The Dr. was funny and easy to talk to and just full of good and positive energy. And with Donna you just knew you were in safe hands. She really took care of me and just made me feel like I was her only patient (idk how u can do that in a dental office but that's exactly how she made me feel). They both had me laughing and relaxed each visit despite how nervous I was about what I was about to potentially do to my smile. When the permanent tooth came in it didn't match 100%. I really really can't overstate how much I appreciate Donna and Dr Harrison for being honest and saying "we're not putting that in". We went outside to check it in the sunlight, they called other employees over to get their opinion, we took pics on my phone and Donna's phone, etc. I was anxious to get my permanent tooth (temp crowns are annoying) in and was getting impatient and if they had said "let's put it in" I probably would have been like "ok let's do it" and been stuck with disappointing results bc who's going to go through that hassle of taking out a brand new crown and redoing it bc it's not "perfect". Instead, they were very honest with their thoughts and had me go meet with the designer so the designer could shade the color with me there in person . The designer had me there for 2 hours while he shaded and reshaded the tooth til it was perfect. He was also easy to work with and focused on perfection!! We went outside, took pics, looked at mirrors inside and outside until we both decided it was perfect! Ok so now we have the perfect shade and shape. I go back to Donna and Dr Harrison. It was the easiest procedure I ever had! I was expecting pain but all I had to do was bite down and it was in and solid. When I saw the permanent crown in I almost cried bc it was so so perfect. Nothing is ever 100% perfect so I was expecting atleast some slight disappointment and just gearing myself up to getting used to a new smile that was atleast different, at most ugly. But I'm so happy to say: If you knew me before the crown you would have no idea my front tooth is now a Crown!!! I really cannot thank Donna and Dr Harrison enough for their honesty and focus on giving me exactly what I was looking for. I had to write a review to first thank them. I called simply to schedule an appointment because a crown that is only about two years old had come loose. Unfortunately, the person handling the call made the experience far more stressful than it needed to be. Before I had even been examined by the dentist, he started telling me that I may need an entirely new crown. I understand that replacement is one possible outcome, but that is something the dentist should determine after actually examining the tooth...not something an appointment setter should speculate about over the phone. I have already had difficult and expensive dental experiences in the past, so trust is extremely important to me. I was prepared to return to this office because I had trusted the male dentist not the female dentist (she put a hole in my old crown), but this interaction made me lose confidence before I could even get through the front door. Also his tech didn't even know how to put my crown on the right way. This feels more like a school than a real office. Front-office staff are often a patient's first point of contact, and the way concerns are communicated matters. I wish he had simply listened, scheduled the appointment, and allowed the dentist to evaluate the crown instead of creating unnecessary anxiety about treatment that may or may not even be needed.
