Baseball regionals. No parking at the stadium. Parking in lot 32, about a mile from the stadium, free, shuttle 5 minutes before the game and about 15 minutes after the game with loading and traffic. One concession stand, $21 for a horrible discolored hot dog, subpar but better cheeseburger on a bun that was not fresh, and a diet coke. No place to set you soda down except in a cup holder. Three mens toilets for 1,820 fans but ironically the waiting was not much more than 5 minutes. There was a second specialty concession stand closed. One souvenir booth with $40-$50 regional tshirts. 1st base was in the sun until 7:30pm so wear sunglasses or a hat if you want to watch the hitters at home plate. Seats not benches was nice albeit they are normal and not oversized. Good female stadium announcer. Scoreboard ok. Field ok. Lighting ok. Security ok. read more

Jackie Robinson Stadium (JRS) home of UCLA Baseball and the mecca and shrine of college baseball... Today is my favorite day of the year at JRS it's the annual UCLA Bruins Alumni Baseball game. I had the great fortune and pleasure to play college Baseball at UCLA and also the incredible memories of playing on these hallowed grounds during my collegiate career. The event is hosted by Coach John Savage and is a special and memorable day. I have had the honor and privilege to play in the game as both a UCLA player and now UCLA alumni player. It's truly a incredible experience and day. It is also open and free to the public with great photo and autograph opportunities as well. The UCLA Alumni Baseball game is a gathering of all the former players and there families to come together at JRS for a game of the alumni players and current UCLA pro players against this years UCLA Bruins Nationally ranked squad. The game is secondary as it's a collection of former teammates, friends and competitors coming together and uniting as one to share stories, reconnect, reminisce, bond, laugh and joke with each other all the while at the end of the day were all part of that special family and fraternity of UCLA Bruin Baseball players. As a father being able to share this with my kids is truly memorable. My son and daughters are competitive athletes and being able to share this experience and camaraderie as a family is both unique and unforgettable. Having my son down on the field wearing my old Jersey and then in the dugout rubbing elbows with dear old dad, former teammates and fellow Baseball Bruins young and old is unique and special. But having my former coach, mentor and father figure UCLA Hall Of Fame Baseball coach Gary Adams affectionately known to everyone who played for him as "Skip" putting his arm around my son on the field at JRS and sharing stories about me as a player, student and young man during my time as a student athlete at UCLA brought tears to my eyes it was profound and priceless. Following the game everybody meets at home plate for handshakes, hugs and photos followed by a catered lunch for all the UCLA Bruin Baseball family to enjoy and savor. JRS is a state of the art college baseball facility named after number 42 Jackie Robinson and I urge you to bring the family and enjoy the nationally ranked and 2013 national champion UCLA Bruin Baseball team play. A cool spot to take the kids out to watch a baseball game. Nice that you can get up close and personal with the action. Can get a little bit slow at times, as there aren't as many videos that pop up on the screens like they do at Dodgers Stadium. If it gets a bit slow, consider taking your gloves and a ball out to practice some catch with your kids, just outside of right field. If you're lucky, you might even be able to snag a foul ball while in the area. read more

Very nice ball park! Easy to get to with my GPS, enough signage to know where to go for parking. The lot is small but got a spot easily. Think about foul balls when parking. We bought tickets online and had no problem getting them at the ticket booth. I would advise buying your tickets at the stadium, you'll save money especially if you have AAA. It would've cost us $22 at the gate we paid over $40 with fees online. Buy at the gate! Easy to get in, really cool statue and Art of Jackie Robinson from the lower entrance. Good sight lines for baseball anywhere you sit. We got there early in General Admission and sat front row in section 8 (behind home plate UCLA side). Big display/scoreboard, good sound system, awesome spot to watch a ball game. Saw USC and former big leaguer Randy Flores and former Angel Darrell Miller at the game (I didn't bug either of them). $10 for parking at with AAA just $6 per ticket, go catch a ball game from one of the best programs in the nation. 2013 National Champs! read more

I sadly admit that I'm one of those alumni who usually only supports mainstream sports, namely basketball and football. It's not that I don't enjoy watching other sports, because I truly enjoy baseball, tennis, volleyball, track & field, gymnastics, etc. But I suppose it's easy to let these events slip my mind. After being bombarded with emails and radio/tv ads about the UCLA-USC game at Dodger Stadium, I finally attended a UCLA baseball game. I had such a good time that I decided to check out a UCLA home game at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Ticket prices are extremely reasonable -- $2 Tuesdays, $7 adults, $5 parking, and free admission for Alumni Association members. As I entered the stadium, I got that same excited feeling that my cheesy @ss gets whenever I feel nostalgic over my days at UCLA. The stadium is absolutely amazing, just like its namesake. Enclosed by a fence of tall trees, the stadium has an intimate and serene setting, even though it's a short block away from one of the most congested LA intersections (Wilshire & Sepulveda). Plus, it has comfortable stadium seating with grass banks on both sides. To my surprise, the game was packed. People laid out their blankets on the grassy slopes, the stands were full, and children were happily running around. I'm so bummed that I didn't get around to this sooner. Jackie Robinson Stadium attests to the wonderful diversity that Los Angeles offers. Go support the Pac-10 (preferably UCLA, of course) and catch a ball game. You can bet that I'll be a better fan from here on out... with a hot dog in one hand and nachos in the other. :) read more

This is an easy access, fun place to watch top tier college baseball - UCLA. It's conveniently located off the 405 fwy. Best of all, it's a great place for kids. They can run all around the stadium, it's safe and clean. It is never really that crowded so there there's rarely a line to get a hot dog, or food. read more

UCLA's ballpark, Jackie Robinson Stadium, is a small college quality stadium with a top tier NCAA D1 quality field. Blair Field at Long Beach State, USC's stadium and Peppedine's s field are all much nicer venues to watch a college baseball game. I'm surprised in this day and age of 10,000 person ballparks in places like Fayetteville, AR and Norman, OK that UCLA has this tiny little venue with a mobile home overlooking left field. Over time, I've seen about 50 college stadiums and this ranks with the University of WA as one of the smallest in the Pac-10. I wonder what Jackie R would think? read more

Wow, I'm surprised anyone else has reviewed this little gem of a ballpark because I didn't think anyone knew about it. When I was going to school here, I thought it was on campus but boy was I wrong. It is on the other side of the very busy 405 about 5 miles away from the main UCLA complex. Surprising they didn't include space for it when they built the campus but with the value and price of land in Westwood/Bel Air, perhaps they had better uses like dorms and classrooms. The ballpark is really small with extremely limited parking and seating therefore you really never get big crowds here like you do in other places like Santa Clara or Stanford. Plus, very few students bother to make the trip which is a shame, teams should have the backing of their students and alumni. UCLA baseball just doesn't right now. It costs around $5.00 to park which is fair and the prices for tickets range between $2 and $7 dollars, maybe the best baseball deal in L.A. It's all really peaceful here and a wonderful place to spend a few quiet hours either by yourself or with friends or family. It also is real easy to get to but my advice is to google it, get a google map, print it out so you won't get lost. The entrance is kind of tricky and you need to make some sharp turns to get there so be aware. UCLA baseball has had some tough times lately but they are coming back now with some good recruiting years and maybe this new trend will bring more crowds in. UCLA and the team deserve it. read more

this is a great low hassle place to watch a game. I've never paid for parking, but maybe because I've only gone on Thursdays when they also have the Farmers' Market. It is a great place for kids. The can run all around the stadium, and there's rarely a line to get a hot dog. I'm a Cleveland Indians fan and sat next to a scout for the Tribe which was pretty cool Behind the stadium, in addition to the Thursday market there is a large parrot rescue center and gardens where you can wander around - you'll forget that you're in LA! read more

JRob is a great little park with no bad seats, 8 bucks an adult ticket for GA with a AAA card, $7 to park. $4 hot dogs, $2 bottles of water makes a trip here a bargain. Kids tickets are cheap, room to run around too. Not to mention a top 5 ranked team, watched the Bruins take 2 of 3 from #1 OSU this weekend. Go Bruins! read more

great visit. came to see oregon state vs ucla since my hubby is an osu alumni. parking was $7 and cash only. we went to the ticket booth to get tix for the dugout and the lady in the booth had to take her sweet time getting approval to sell more dugout tix. what a hassle. by the time we got our tix we just got inside for the start of the game. the seats were somewhat uncomfortable and i had to keep getting up. i didn't try any of the food since there was a long line at the concession booth. bathrooms were only 3 stalls so there was a line. read more

I attended the UCLA/Arizona game yesterday (05/17/2015) w/ a long-time friend and his two sons. Surprisingly, the parking is $10. I found this rather odd, since college baseball is a sport that often times has trouble drawing in spectators. For instance, the Dodgers charge the same amount to park. Walking up to the stadium, we realized that it was quite full. The UofA fans were out in full-force. The seats were cheap (under $10), and they offer AAA discount pricing, as well. The only available seats were in the third base bleachers above the field-level seats. We were able to sit in the first row of the bleachers, and the view was perfect, until the sixth inning. At that point, some fans in the field-level seating decided to stand in the walkway behind their seats but in front of the bleacher seats. They completely blocked off the view from home plate all the way down the third base line, so we had to move our seating twice in order to get a less obstructed view. There were really long lines at the concession stands, but they seemed to move somewhat quickly, and the food is somewhat reasonably priced. Around the eighth inning, some parents let their children jump up and down on the metal bleacher stairs, which is really loud and shakes the entire bleacher section. It was rather annoying that this went on for over 20 minutes. All in all, I had a good time w/ my friend and his kids, but I think that next time, it would be better to get there early, sit in the field-level seats, and maybe pack a lunch. I don't mind going to a professional sporting event and paying for parking/concessions, but I find it out of place at a collegiate baseball game. I spent over $50 on parking, food (I bought lunch for everyone), and my ticket. By comparison, I went to a Pepperdine game recently, which is one of the most picturesque sporting venues you'll ever walk into, and there was no parking fee, the tickets were priced the same (under $10), the concessions were much cheaper, and we were able to sit in the front row behind homeplate. read more

Horrible services as an NCAA Host site. Parking service was $11 & follow the car in front of you, that did not know where to go. No signage or people to offer you directions to the not well marked entrance. When entering for second game of the day we were not allowed to join our family members in line and forced to the back of the line. If you purchased tournament tickets, why do you have to exit and re-enter, have you ever heard of a tournament pass? Once inside there are only two concession stands, one serving the usual fair hot dogs, drinks, etc. but only one line buried to the ramp down the first base line. The other serves blotted water, popcorn & ice cream. Baseball seats are great, UCLA fans a bit rude to visiting teams. I'd prefer not to come back here but if my team were playing here again I'd come back but pack my own snacks! Not a fan of Jackie Robinson Stadium but a fan of Baseball! read more
