He took my order a Cuban Sandwich and a Pina Colada. The Cuban Sandwich was so tasty and freshly made. It was pressed. The pernil was seasoned perfectly and the pickles gave it the perfect tanginess. The Pina Colada was delicious not too sweet. A refreshing treat on a hot summer day. Next time I see the truck I'll try the empanadas. I've seen them at Skateport in Bridgeport. We chose to sit outside since the weather was perfect, and it added a nice touch to the experience. The food was fantastic! The portions were generous, and everything we ordered was full of flavor. The lomo saltado was really good, and both the fried rice and the rotisserie chicken were absolutely delicious--tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. I ordered a pernil platter which came with a heaping amount of arroz con gandules, plantanos, an empanada, and a good amount of pernil. Everything was nice and flavorful and fresh. I got the ham and cheese empanada with my meal. It's one of the bigger empanadas that I've seen served. I'm very satisfied with my meal and am looking forward to my next Pito Sofrito visit!
