Worst experience I ever had at a "service" business. I was quickly reminded why I walked out last year without waiting for a manicure. This time I had an appointment for a pedicure on a Thursday. Walked in and middle-aged Asian woman starts barking commands at me. "You sit out there and we call you when ready!" She did not greet me, ask my name, ask whether I had an appointment, nothing. I stood there dumfounded (again) thinking I should really walk out again, as I did last year, because I was desperate for a pedicure. I reminded her quietly that I was a customer and asked her to stop yelling. They change technicians there in the middle of services, and the one that actually did the pedicure alternately grabbed one foot, then the other, as if she was getting ready to pound a piece of meat. Also, they have some type of cheap plastic liner in the pedicure tub that is a poor excuse for disinfecting after every use. Adequate pedicure. Obviously, I will not go back, but enter at your own risk if you must. read more

Great service, very clean, which is very important! I got a gel mani and a pedi for $45 which is a great price. The pedi was excellent, very thorough but efficient. My gel mani was also quick but not as thorough and a little sloppy. If you're picky about your manis like I am you might be a little disappointed. My mother and I have been going to Jackie's for over 10 years and the disrespect we received today drew the line for us and we will never be back. Firstly, their service is highly mediocre at best especially with their newly raised prices. My mom showed a picture of what she wanted and asked if the girl could do exactly that and she said yes. Unfortunately, it turned out that they did not have the color my mom wanted after already having started her gel manicure. Since it wasn't exactly what my mom wanted and they were charging $50 my mom asked if they could do the manicure for $45 and the owner (Jackie) who we have known for years begins screaming at her and causing a scene saying that my mom was being difficult. It was so incredibly rude, unprofessional and appalling the way she was acting towards loyal customers of over 10 years. Needless to say, we will never be back. I can recommend Annie's nails to anyone who was considering going to Jackie's. Better price, better owner, better nails! read more

It was definitely not the best gel nail manicure I've ever received. It was messily put on and I had to go home and file a bunch of it off. But the people there were nice. I mean when you're down the shore it's pretty hard to find a good nail place. I do my nails at home and I didn't bring my stuff down so I guess this is what I get. Lol. read more

I was very disappointed in my mani/pedi experience. I had an appointment at 3, and waited 10 minutes. The pedicure was very rushed, and I am an easy client as I don't have any cutting done, just buffing and filing. The manicure was even more disappointing: Again, rushed. She used a file on my natural nails that's more for acrylic nails. In trying to save time, she tried to use that same coarse file to "buff" the TOPS of my nails till I stopped her. She was not efficient in trimming all the hangnails--I am picking at one as I write this. And...what neck massage?! Others mention a massage, but I did not get one--nor did I get any creme or oil on my cuticles, or hot towels. All I got was a $2 surcharge for paying with a credit card (though I tipped 23% in cash).I'm. not naming the technician as I believe this is a management issue--poor young woman was probably running late and under the gun to make her numbers. But I don't feel I got my $37 worth of service. I will look elsewhere; you should too. read more

I made an appt for a uv gel manicure. When I got there they looked at my nails first and sat me with a manicurist. She striped my nails of the current gel, then told me they had no one to do the uv and would do powder instead. At that point I had no choice, my daughter's wedding was the next day. The French manicure was uneven and the filing was crooked. I broke my first nail before the wedding and the second one three days later. Worst manicure I have ever had. I got a mani/pedi. I got this done on Friday for my wedding on Saturday. the nails were falling off on Monday, at this point I was already back in NH. But yesterday (Wednesday) you can already tell they are starting to come off. My pedicure looks like a 10yr old did it! read more

This place is awful. When you first walk in instead of asking you to pick a color they insist that you have the gel polish removed. After your nails are all wrapped in foil, they hand you a box with the plastic wheels and tell you to pick a color. Really? The foil wraps do not make it very easy. When they would fall off the operator would get very annoyed to have to replace them. When it was time to remove the polish, she used her fingernail to scrape it off! Ewwwww. this process left a lot of material on my nails and when I asked about it she said it was a reaction of my nails to the polish. What? I insisted that she use the instrument to scrape it off and miraculously the nail problem went away. Let's move on to the manicure pedicure. The pedicure literally lasted a whole 15 minutes. The massage was a joke. They have plastic liners that they just reuse. What is the point? The manicure did not last much longer. The operator cut me twice and just kept on going. Why let a little blood interfere with your work right? To say the finished product was a disgrace is an understatement. I had lots of dried polish under my nail and the application was highly irregular near the cuticle. Finally, the operator was just rude and obnoxious. I will never go back there again and I live right down the street. There are too many places in Ventnor to bother wasting your time here. One more thing, the so-called back massage you could get a better massage rubbing your back up against the door on the way out. Don't waste your time or money. read more

On the first attempt, the manicure looked as amateurish as a child's effort-- poilish all over the cuticles, bubbles in the polish (Ballet Slipers), incompletely removed color (acqua) from the previous manicure. I looked at it and asked if she was really going to let me walk out of the door this way. She brusquely removed the polish and another woman came to redo it. After two coats, it clearly was not much better. The application at the cuticle was uneven, pooled in places, and there were uncovered patches at the edges. Realizing I could fix it better myself than they could, I left and put on the third and top coat at home. The best I can say about this place is that the mani was only $10. read more

Worst manicure I have ever gotten. I got a full set. She filed my nails so hard that each finger was gushing blood. Did not listen to anything I said. They asked if I wanted a design and it looks like I did it myself. Do not go here, it is the biggest waste of money and time. read more
