If you're like me and only wear things once and gift them then yes, you want to find cute pieces that you can wear once and throw out. It's the era of social media! You can't possibly wear the same thing twice? Or can you? Perhaps you can but, I don't! So, I frequent any place that has a bargain! Yes, that is right.... Ross is your Local discount department store. It's dirty, it smells, you have to have patience while shopping, isles are cramped, it's disorganized, and plainly put.... it's a hot mess! However, I've learned if you come late at night when the monsters are out to play it is EMPTY! Yes!!!!! They close at 1 a.m. you can shop and still make it to the club! Or to your bedroom! Wink! The customer service is always bad. The security greets you as you walk in. Not sure if he is supposed to scare you as you walk in or not but would make sense to have security walking around watching people pop off sensors but hey that's none of my business. I came here a few months back for a luggage and it had a visible scratch, the lady acted like she owned the store and wouldn't discount the luggage. I didn't understand. Oh well! Win some, lose some. Come, but fear the chaos.

Long story short, I had to return a small salt and pepper set and after I handed my item to the cashier, she went and pulled out a sanitizing wipe and wiped the box down. Also, she had put on new gloves before and after my transaction! I don't know if this is how this area is handling things, or maybe just the store, but kudos to the employee on being safe and clean! :)

The man checking me out (a Hispanic guy who they said was the manager) didn't bag a single thing. He handed me each item to throw back into the cart--which you can't even take outside. When I asked if he could bag them, he said no, claiming he didn't have bags... even though they were right there and I had just seen him use them for other people. I bought over 10 items and had to bag everything myself while he just stood there watching. It was honestly humiliating doing that in front of everyone. Another employee came to help, but when I asked to speak to the manager, they said it was him--and he just ignored me completely, talking to someone behind the counter like I wasn't even there. I've worked in customer service before, and this was just not okay. When I asked for names to report what happened, they said they couldn't give them out "due to policy." There's clothes and shoes thrown all over the place on the floor. Seriously, it always looks like a tornado hit in there. The employees aren't as nice, either. This is at the Sunland Park location. Anyway... I was looking for some costume jewelry and something kind of decent to wear at the last minute. Dressing fancy isn't really a priority for me right now. I found some cute, dangly earrings by Guess for $5. I kid you not, I also bought a glittery, purplish evening gown/dress for $4. I was looking for a nice looking blouse but ended up getting the gown/dress because it was so cheap. The blouses cost more than the gown! I didn't even try it on but luckily it fit perfectly. I figured I could give it away if it didn't fit. I was really pleased with my transaction here. The employees were mostly nice and helpful. By the way, this was for a virtual event! I hadn't been to this location in about two years. The last time I went was to buy a gift for a birthday party (before Covid). Everything was fine at that time too. I'm surprised I hadn't written a review! All employees were following safety precautions. They had their masks on. Some were also wearing gloves. I spent $10 and change when it came down to it. This store was FULLY stocked and there were so many items to look at. The home decor was poppin and it almost made me forget that I was at Ross. The best part yet was the fact that there was NO LINE.
