Recently they just did a roadtrip inspection on my car and got me in extremely quick to fix all of the things they found when doing the check before I drive 9 hours away in about two weeks. They worked on my previous car, and my fiancé's car and they are hands down the most reliable auto shop in all of colorado springs. They are upfront and honest with you, and very understanding people. I will never visit another shop in the springs! I will gladly drive my car around with their bumper sticker on it!

Originally Cornerstone told me I had to replace the condenser and compressor, and probably hoses, which I called around and got quotes for. I ended up getting a second opinion at Pep Boys, and all that had to be replaced was an O-ring on the AC. I just had a small leak, and Cornerstone tried to get me to replace the whole AC system. Definitely downgraded this review, because my fix cost $200... not $1300! Ridiculous over pricing and wrong diagnosis. My AC works perfectly now, for $1100 less than what was originally quoted at Cornerstone. Go get a second opinion or better get, don't go here in the first place.

I went in for a simple tire patch. The moment I declined to purchase four new tires for over $1,000…read moreplus, after a very pushy sales pitch, the entire attitude changed. They removed my tire, then told me they wouldn't put it back on. Instead, they said I needed to buy a donut spare because "newer cars don't come with one." I explained that my vehicle already has a spare in the back, and I've used it before. They refused to repair the tire, saying it couldn't be patched, and sent me away on the spare. When I got home, I looked at the tire and found a tiny nail in the center tread. The puncture was well under ¼ inch, the tire had never been driven while flat, there was no internal structural damage, and there weren't multiple punctures. Based on those conditions, it met the standard criteria for a repair. To be sure, I took it to Walmart for a second opinion. They patched it in about 30 minutes with no issues. What concerns me most is the safety aspect. If I hadn't known my vehicle had a spare or if this had been someone stranded with young children, they could have been left in an unsafe situation because they were told they had no option except spending over $1,000 plus on new tires. If a tire truly can't be repaired, I completely understand. But in this case, another shop repaired it quickly and safely. Customers deserve honest recommendations based on the condition of their tire, not pressure to make an expensive purchase. Do better.

Am I glad I did! Robert quickly ruled out the suspension components as the cause of the clunking noise. After driving it a bit he narrowed it down to a loose brake caliper pin bushing. Noise is gone! Compare that to the other guys who wanted me to replace a "loose" control arms, sway bar links and struts. He told me what else he saw, whether or not it was absolutely needed, the pros and cons of doing or not doing certain things and explained everything very clearly. What a great feeling to be dealing with an honest man and a qualified shop. We have three vehicles and we are looking forward to bringing them all to Robert and his shop for service and maintenance.

I also really appreciated the tasty cookie they gave me when I picked up my car. From a purely customer-service standpoint, they do a great job. However, I have to give 2 stars because of their pricing and lack of transparency. I brought my vehicle in and received an estimate for a throttle body replacement. They quoted me $1,044.45 just for the part (labor was an additional $408.66). What really bothered me, in addition to the extreme markup, was the lack of information. The quote didn't specify the brand of the part being used, nor did it state whether it was brand new or a reconditioned unit. As you can see in the photos I've attached, I looked up the parts myself. I can easily purchase a brand new, OEM-quality throttle body for around $150. I understand that mechanics need to mark up parts to make a profit and cover their warranties, but a markup of this magnitude is excessive, especially without being completely transparent about what exactly the customer is paying for. Great customer service and a clean waiting room are wonderful, but they don't justify this level of markup on parts. I highly recommend doing your own research on part prices and getting a second opinion before approving any major repairs here.
