First and foremost, this place is new. Not been here before. The parking lot is well lit and clean,…read morefor now. They have showers, a drivers lounge and of course bathrooms. The bathrooms were very clean when I went in. Again, we'll see how the truckers treat them. The lounge has 3 TVs and some really nice chairs. The only problem was I couldn't figure out how to work the TVs. I wasn't going to ask an employee since I wasn't staying in there long anyway. COFFEE, will probably be straight TRASH in the morning. There is no amount of words I can use to describe how much I dislike these coffee machines. JUST BREW SOME COFFEE! See pictures. Side note, whoever is the salesman for this area/region is making a killing selling these horrible coffee machines.

Transaction went smoothly until I tried to get a receipt. Then it said "cashier has receipt." Except the store was closed. I needed the receipt for business and rental car proof of gas purchase. It is a huge pet peeve of mine when gas stations don't print receipts in general, but this was particularly frustrating. Fortunately, as I was driving to the airport, I found another gas station with an open store where I was able to top up and get a physical receipt.

They didn't have coffee options I liked, so I checked out the energy drinks that were on sale 2 for $5 with a Stripes reward card. When I got to the counter, the guy scans my drinks without saying anything. I'm watching for the price to make sure it scans at 2 for $5 or waiting for the cashier to ask if I have my rewards card on me. He asks if I need a receipt, and I respond by saying that I just wanted to make sure it scanned at 2 for $5. He says, "$7.12. You have to read the whole sign." I had read the sign --I simply haven't been anywhere where you weren't asked to produce a card or invited to join the rewards group. I figured I'd give him another chance, so I ask how to join the rewards group. He simply puts a card in front me--no question if I had a rewards account or if I'd like to join and then re-checkout. I checked behind me and didn't see a line, so there was no rush. Just unfriendliness. I don't think I'll be going to another Stripes anytime soon. My experience was the exact opposite of what I can get from QT, Buccee's, or CircleK!

Overall this was a solid gas station. They had a good amount of soft drinks, energy drinks, sports drinks and water too. I didn't try any of their food, and the only other thing to note is the gas grades here were 87, 89 & 91 (they didn't have 93 grade gas). Overall, solid gas station if you happen to be in town. And it's conveniently located right off the highway and right next to the Hampton inn hotel too.
