3/8/26 we decided on pizza for dinner and ended up here at Angelo Ale House & Pizza. 6:10pm on a Monday eve and the place was busy with no empty tables for seating just the bar. They do have outdoor seating and rooftop deck seating but i'm not sure of the rooftop hours. We placed our order for pepperoni and our canned and bottled beverages. By that time a table had opened up which was nice. The service was fairly quick, the staff friendly and the restaurant was clean. There is a wall of draw beer taps with a nice selection to choose from. However, for those of us that haven't acquired the taste of beer they didn't have a lot of options of other beverages. No Iced tea or soda only canned and bottled beverages which is cold. On occasion you will see some nice "eye candy" so stop in and give them a try. I'm giving four stars only because of the limited selection of non alcoholic beverages. I know it's an Ale house so if your coming for their beer that's great but fountain drinks and iced tea would be nice for those who come for the pizza. read more

My pepperoni pizza was ok, crust was good, pepperoni was good, but the sauce was missing something. Couldn't quite put my finger on it though. Beer selection was excellent, but they serve all other beverages out of cans or bottles. No refills on soda. Ambiance was friendly, the inside of the restaurant was clean. Outside seating had no shade that I saw and we didn't go upstairs to the outside seating there. They are pet friendly. Will I go back, probably not, but give it a shot. Small spot w about 6?ish 4 tops and a few bar seats. This is the first time I've seen a beer dispenser like this... you get a card and an empty glass, pick your beer and pour your amount. You're charged by the oz. Very cool. I tried a sour I was curious about but ended up w a tried and true voodoo ranger IPA. My Gen Zs each got a pizza- the AAH and the Margarita - hubs and I split the jalapeno one... oh! And we split the Caesar salad, kids liked it, I thought I tasted a hint of mayo? ‍ they finished it tho. Cool spot, yummy crust and sauce. Definitely a local spot for take out. The pizza was seriously delicious! The ingredients were super fresh, the dough was cooked just right with that perfect crispy edge and chewy center, and the Sriracha wings were awesome too--great flavor. I really wish I had ordered more because it was that good. Hands down, this is the best pizza in San Angelo. If any of my friends, family, or buddies are driving through the area and feel like grabbing pizza, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

Loved their pickle pizza! Went ahead and asked what they recommended and the pickle pizza was their first choice and it did not disappoint. I also got their wings and the sauce is perfect, siracha flavoring mixed with a bit of sweetness and cooked so tender. I came in alone and sat at the bar and loved the vibe, watching them make the pizza's right in front of me was great. Definitely perfect for groups as well. They had ran out of pizza boxes and dough around 7:30 from the amount of orders they had so definitely a popular spot! read more

The venue itself was small but it makes up with that with a killer service. The place has a rooftop and I'm not going to lie some of this pizza hit even better then some that I have had abroad. The place also has a cool beer tap system that can be used via a card system. Phenomenal food with wood fired pizzas. Very garlicky and fresh. Order at the counter and then seat yourself. Pizzas came pretty fast and served with a smile on a little wooden pizza holder. Only downside of today's meal the entire beer wall was down. Unfortunate but ultimately didn't take away from the greatness of the food. Awesome is what I would say. First and foremost the staff was very friendly and accommodating and that is only overshadowed by the pizza. We had the Caveman and the St. Abigail and loved them both. We were in town to visit our Airman and had our pups with us but with the outside seating it was the perfect place, they even put up an umbrella for us on the upstairs deck. Walked in at 7:03 and was told the place was closed and was no longer taking orders (they close at 8). I had to take an uber here with my wife being she is visiting me here in San Angelo because I'm currently in tech school. After ordering an uber for another food spot I was told by a costumer that they are still doing to go orders which would've been totally fine. Pretty bad experience, the food smelled good. read more

Absolutely love their pizzas. Add hot honey to literally any pizza (if it doesn't already come with it) and you will be thoroughly impressed by the flavors. Wings are also very good. TIME FOR DESSERT" After we Celebrated Dinner out we went to "Angelo Ale House & Pizzeria" for our Dessert. They are located a couple blocks from Angelo State University, and we are looking forward to our visit there. Walked in and there were a good number of people here at tables and the Bar, which has several chairs facing where the Pizza Oven is located. We chose a table and Hannah came over, brought us a couple menus to go over and stated that when you're ready, to order at the cash registers. We did just that and my Wife and I agreed on their "Il Cornetto"; Made of Pizza Dough filled with Nutella & Marshmallows, topped off with Chocolate Ganache, Sliced Strawberries and Chopped Pistaccios. I asked Hannah if it was big enough for two and she said it was. While we waited, we sipped on our waters looked around the place. It's nicely decorated in a simple but pleasant decor and the Aroma from the Pizza Oven fills the air - and that's always a plus. Soon our Dessert was served, and Hannah was right - this thing is enough for Two - maybe even Three people - but we're not sharing it with anyone else - it's All Ours. Sliced of a section for me and "WOW" is this Goooood. Love the Nutella with the Marshmallow and that Chocolate covering it all up is Really Chocolaty making the whole thing Richlylicious. My Wife enjoyed it as much as I did and we both love the Sweetness it creates - and we ate the whole thing. Hannah was Sweet and earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award. I'm sure their Pizza's are also Very Tasty because we could see them being served - and that Aroma - "AAH" Yes, that Aroma. Now you know where they got their name from - "AAH" is what you say when your Pizza is being served - and when you get a whiff of the Aroma - "AAH". Wonderful from start to finish! We walked in and it was pretty packed, but we did find a table and the server had to come over and clean it off. Once we got settled, we ordered the pizza with all of the meat on it (I forget what it's called) and I got the prosciutto pizza, which was amazing! For dessert we split The Nutella croissant really yummy...a little burnt on the bottom and stuck to the paper, but it was so stinking good...Definitely worth it! Great, cool vibe there's also rooftop seating. When we went it was in the afternoon and the sun was beaming down, it was very warm so we decided to stay inside. The drink wall had great selections and even had wine for me. The only drawback, maybe, is lack of seating... If this place gets as popular as I think, that may be an issue. Go. I went there for the first time for lunch on a Friday, the timing was good because there were already customers who already had their food. Their pizza is the best brick oven pizza that you can find anywhere. After finishing the pizza, I wanted to eat another, but i had to go back to work. I've had fancy artisan pizza in california, New york, Japan, and South Korea, but you can't really compare the pizza with this place. Best I've ever had, and that's a true compliment as I am a super picky eater. After having lunch there, i went again for dinner the same day and had the porchetta sandwich. There are other places in town with similar themes, however the food here speaks for itself. They have ZERO competition. read more

Nice little place close to ASU. A great variety of pizzas. All pizzas are the same size - hand tossed to a nicer thinner crust. Prices range from $12.00-18.00. I ordered the Greek pizza and my husband ordered the Carnivore. They did charge 1.50 to add onions on my husbands pizza. Bottled water was 1.50. Our pizzas were very good and we will get a couple of meals more out of each of them. read more
