I love this store. It's always spotless, has everything I'm looking for and more..it's worth paying the higher price for quality. However, while shopping for a few items earlier today I realized i need a loaf of bread.. I headed back to the bakery area, picked up a loaf of sourdough, did more shopping, not sure what made me look, but this and almost all others were labeled made on the 5th and expired today. I returned the sourdough for the only loaf I can find which was labeled with today's day.. Again, I don't mind spending a little more for quality but i don't agree with your business practice. Maybe the shelve life expired today, but I don't feel conformable eating bread thats 5-6 days old read more

Please train your staff assigned at the self kiosk check out section to be friendly and be nice. After I check out at the self kiosk around 5pm June 06, 2026 I gave that staff a smile your staff just ignore it and gave me a snub that is awful!. Can't believe it's happening again. These people are the worst. It's 6 o'clock on Wednesday and there's no 10 piece dark fried chicken and they're not willing to fry any for me and the managers are just passing me around. Nobody wants to take responsibility. This is completely ridiculous and then I walked by the deli, and they're all just standing around laughing having a great time while the customer walks out of the store, empty-handed hating this place even more. read more

UPDATE: Called and asked to speak to the mama of the bakery. SONIA. She told me she didn't appreciate how I approached the situation and when I asked to speak to someone else she HUNG UP ON ME. I cannot with this place. If you are planning on using there bakery definitely rethink your decision!! I ordered 2 cakes for my daughters first birthday and the job they did was laughable to say the least. I called them to complain and was treated horribly. The girl on the phone sat there and argued with me for 10 minutes before I just took the loss and hung up! Back for some more Fresh groceries. I am hungry this time so I should shop quick and leave. Great store like mentioned before. I love the fresh fish market and the sushi made daily at front of the sto They have a great selection in every Department. I was able to find bulk food items with lots of fruit mix variations, Maui mango sounded the best. They even had bulk tea leaf flavors. The wine and beer selection was really divers I even found a new Anita from New Orleans a blueberry wheat beer. They had huge beef jerky that does Texas proud. The biggest surprise was the peanut butter grinding machines that allow to make your own peanut butter and put in a container. I haven't seen that out West I years. Glad I stopped I. This will be a on my for sure list. But let's see if they have fresh herbs like Thyme. read more

The absolute worst stocked store I've ever experienced. On the search for big red zero for my 81 yo mother. I've called every other day...poor girl just released from hospital and Im going to find her soda. Called at 11:45 am asked if big red zero was in stock. Yes we have plenty. Asked Clayton if he would pull 3 to set aside sure. Arrive noon. We sold out! I'm furious! No rain check offered. I had to. Ask for a manager. The absolutely nice young hispanic lady training another employee is in the soda aisle. She volunteers to go check the back and speak to the manager. Manager gets on the phone to vendor. Excellent customer service from all MS employees but this sucks! And if this is my biggest complaint of the day...I'm living a pretty darn good life! What a girl won't do for her momma! Do better Pepsi! BUT noon and the taco soup and chicken and dumplings is out!!! Requested more!!! Thats all they have for the whole day!!! And you are out at lunch??!! Not 12:30 but noon!! I have never had issues with this store until NOW. I shopped for a few items and cashed out at Self Check-Out. As I approached the station, the older gentleman didn't say anything to me. He simply stared at me. As I was ringing up my items, I noticed he was staring at me very intently. There were two other people ringing up their items at the same time... but they weren't people of color (they were the same race as him). As they finished and walked by, the gentleman gave them a warm farewell and "Have a great day!" When I was done cashing out, the gentleman turned around and didn't pay any attention to the fact that I needed help getting my groceries out. I can't help but narrow this down to race. I shop here frequently and pay for groceries out of MY OWN MONEY. This was very unnecessary on the gentleman's part. I felt targeted. read more

I have been shopping, almost exclusively, at this Albertsons/Market Street for nearly 20 years. There is a reason I shop here; the staff and crew have ALWAYS been super nice, friendly and helpful, until today. My experience today was super pleasant until I checked out and encountered Nina Sandoval. She was sullen, unfriendly and uncheerful; all in all an unpleasant person. Being pregnant, I might imagine she was feeling uncomfortable, but she was the most unpleasant employee I have ever encountered at Market Street. If she was feeling that poorly she should have gone home. She never said hello, how are you doing, did you find everything all right, how many bags do you have or thank you. Meanwhile, the sacker was wonderful! A checker like this certainly hurts the reputation of the store and I'll have to watch to make sure she never checks me out again. read more

We went in to look at the book of cakes to order for a birthday. I asked the lady in the bakery for the book while she was sweeping. She said "when do you want the cake??" like we couldn't even look at the book unless it was in the proper time frame. She kept sweeping, got the dust pan, swept the dirt up, finally got the book, then tossed it at us. She was so inconvenienced by a customer at her customer service job that we said forget it!!! Told everyone we knew how rude she was and not to order from that bakery. Never will again. read more

Market Street is a great quick-stop shop. I go here for specialty stuff--wine, cheese, specialty chocolate and cosmetics, tabouleh, and the cheapest canned club soda in town. They will run your groceries out to your car, whether you need help or not--it makes jobs and keeps the parking lot clear of shopping carts. Pros: Ample parking, hard-to-find items, fueling station, rewards system, very friendly staff. Good salad and olive bars. Fried catfish plates in the deli, with good mac and cheese. Cons: Limited selection for some common items. Produce and meat/fish department could use some work. There is always something that smells expired over there. read more

After a horrible experience at HEB I came over here to expect the same communist style treatment amid the "crisis" and was really relieved to find a quiet, friendly store. Upon entry of the store I was greeted by a woman spraying down the baskets in which she told me to be assured they were all cleaned and being cleaned as they came in. I entered the store and found it to be so much more calm that HEB (why is there so much panic going on over there?!), I got the few items I needed and left. It was so refreshing and I can't wait until stores return to normal. Market street sells a few items that I could never find at heb such as the beef jerkey, pickles, kraut, and a few pantry things. I've never loved MS produce as it's just not as fresh but I think I'll be coming here from now on because of how they treated me vs heb. read more

Niche grocery store. It's a little pricy for day to day items, but we stop at the deli and pick up sushi or ap remade meal while we're in town. Haven't been disappointed and it saves some cash on a meal. read more

Market Street is by far my favorite grocery store in town. I love someone helps you to your vehicle. Sushi is fresh and delicious; cashiers have always been friendly. Most everyone in the store is helpful and kind! Great selections of cheeses and wines. Salad bar and pre-made salads look amazing. I will say I have had less than friendly encounters with deli and the meat market people. They seemed annoyed I was asking for help. It really rubbed me the wrong way but not enough to prevent me from coming back to the store. read more

Please correct the problem with your seafood! Twice I've bought gulf shrimp here and had to return them because they were rancid. The other seafood also looks and smells terrible. This is a shame because the beef, chicken and lamb is always great. I'm just confused with what's going on in your seafood department. read more

Not best at street side pickup. Sat there 45 minutes and woman finally came out with people who had large orders. Then she told cars that been sitting there longer thane she just didn't have room to bring theirs and ours. After another 15 minutes she never came back. After over hour finally got orders and it was another young lady who brought them out. read more

We used their floral Dept to create our centerpieces for our wedding. The women did a fantastic job and went above and beyond the call. The displays were very professional and looked right out of a wedding magazine photo. The flowers were a central part of our wedding theme and we were truly grateful for their professionalism and creativity. read more

I went to market street this morning to get some jalapenos. The selection was very questionable. I picked what few good ones I could find and moved on. You guys have a older black gentlemen that I see all the time restocking produce, wish I had got his name because he saved you a customer. This guy saw that I was not pleased and not only did he go back and bring out a new case of fresh jalapenos, but he tracked me down half way across the store and told me to come back over as he had brought some fresh stock out. This is what I call customer service. He read my displeasure and rectified the situation on the spot. I will come back and this guy deserves a job well done. read more
