Such a friendly and caring staff! The store has a variety of toys. I was looking for wooden toys for my 7 month old and found a wall full of great options for babies. One staff member, Erica, even explained the differences of some of the different wooden brands and the standards each toy company follows. This was really helpful for me. I was also looking for a wooden rocking horse and the only one left was the one on display. They kindly helped me out and carried it to my car for me, since my hands were full with my baby. During covid-19 quarantine period they were accepting phone calls and even with the huge decrease in sales they didn't push to make a sale but rather was concerned of my safety and gave me tips on how I could utilize what I had at home to make things work. Jacks is fantastic store and there is always something new and fun, whether you are looking for a present for a kid or a fun desk toy for yourself (or buying the latter when you go for the former). I really like that the toys they carry are generally things you won't find at a big box store and range from silly to educational. The staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions and have a good idea of what is appropriate for different ages and interests. I love that they have a lot of the toys out so you can try them out. It's also a great time waster when you are out with a busy toddler and there is never any pressure to buy anything. Jacks toys was great before the pandemic and they are doing an amazing job of dealing with the challenges of operating in a socially distanced world. They have a lot of different options on their Instagram page and respond quickly with other ideas via messenger. Ok guys. This toy store is legit. My family was in the area on the weekend, and decided to pop in here w the kiddos for them to pick something. It was a ::treat:: since everything was closed during quarantine. Son has been persistently asking for a bow and arrow, so the sweet young lady that offered to help showed him the two options. She even encouraged him to try the one that was not in a box. Which was great because he was a bit young/small to get the hang of it. So he decided on the boxed one. You'll feel like you slapped on the aftershave then slapped your own cheeks when you scream at the incredible selection of toys. My theee-year-old son would spend close to an hour playing with the Play kitchen. I'm giving this place 2 stars because they really do have a neat selection of toys, and the place is reminiscent of the classic mom and pop toy shops of yesteryear. But the customer service is astonishingly atrocious. I've been to the place twice, and both times the customer service was not only horrible, but just baffling. The sales associates are absolutely clueless, and the manager is invisible, or can never seem to be found. This mysterious manager is apparently the only person who knows anything, as the sales associates are merely automatons who stock merchandise. I went in today and asked the lone sales associate if I could order a particular board game. She stared blankly at me, then looked to the back room and made a feeble call-out to her manager. No response. She went back to stocking shelves. I shopped around, expecting her to go get me an answer to my question. She just kept stocking shelves. After 5 minutes, I walked up to her and said, "So do you have an answer to my question that I asked you?" She says, "Oh, well, my manager appears to have stepped away for a minute, but should be back soon." I just walked out. So, here we have a place where the sales associates can't even check their catalog or online to see if they can order a particular product, a job which appears to be relegated solely to the manager.
