That "surcharge" is actually a tip. Then why not call it a tip? To me that's being very sneaky. Makes me wonder how many people have not realized that and then tipped on top of that? I did leave more tip because 12% is ridiculous. It should at least be 20% unless service was bad. I do think calling it a "service charge" is sneaky bad business.

One family, who was already seated when I arrived, waited over an hour and ended up leaving without ever receiving their food. Meanwhile, another customer who walked in after me did have their online order show up correctly. To be fair, the staff was clearly overwhelmed, but they were sweet and doing their best in the middle of chaos. After another 30+ minutes of waiting, my pizza finally came out. As for the pizza itself: It was good..I'd give it a 6/10. I paid an extra $2 for jalapeños, but there were maybe three or four on the whole thing, and I could barely tell they were there. Definitely not worth an hour and fifteen minute wait or nearly $30 for a small.

On the receipt during our last visit, he first said it was $53.74. After the challenge, he lowered it to $49.22. The receipt read total of $53.74 if tip of $4.52 offered. This has happened twice, that we know of. Be careful when you order take-out. We should be allowed to see the weight of the food. Deceptive business practices seem to be occuring here. That 10% tip could greatly add up. Who leaves a tip for take-out?
