When we boarded, we made our way to the middle deck, front of the boat--and found the perfect little spot with a private table and chairs. It felt like our own peaceful corner of the river. No crowd, just a quiet, relaxing ride with amazing views of the Chattanooga skyline and surrounding scenery as the sun set. Absolutely gorgeous. After docking, we decided to eat at the restaurant above the gift shop. It was a great way to end the evening--the food was tasty, and the river views from the deck made it even better. We asked the staff what time the gift shop closed and were told 9:00 PM, so we waited until after dinner to pick up souvenirs. Unfortunately, by the time we finished eating (maybe 10 minutes later), the shop had already closed. Kind of a bummer. Since then, we've tried to return twice while driving through Chattanooga--hoping to grab some mementos--but no one answers the phone, and the gift shop hasn't been open either time. Their posted hours on both the website and Google are clearly off, which has made it pretty frustrating. All in all, we loved the cruise and highly recommend it, especially if you can snag a quiet spot on the deck. Just don't count on the gift shop being open--even if you're told otherwise. Buy your souvenirs before dinner just to be safe!

Everything a fisherman needs plus more!…read more This was my 4th time staying in one of these cabins. They are very well laid our with tons of open space. They have all of the basics. There are 2 versions: 1 with separate per rooms and a kitchen and another that is more like a hotel room. I've stayed in both and have zero complaints. The 2 bed room versions have a master bedroom with its own bathroom. The other room could have a combination full bed with bunk beds. This maximums the number of people to sleep there. The frig stays cold and the stoves work. You have basic cooking utensils so you may want to bring your favorite par or accessory if you plan to cook. There are also outside charcoal grills. This trip my mom and girlfriend came along with my dad and I. This was their first time to the lake. My mom could not stop talking about the cabin. They spent the day walking around Goose Pond and exploring Guntersville while we fished. All cabins have nice front porches that have a view of the lake. They have 2 covered ports for your boats or trucks. The ports have lights, water and outlets. These cabins are literally right across the road from the boat ramp and next door to the grocery and bait shop. Scottsboro and Guntersville are both about a 15 min drive. The best part about this place are the people. This is a local business. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They will do anything they can to help you. Their food is good and the prices are very fair. I highly recommend these cabins. They are my preferred place to stay when fishing Lake Guntersville.

It provides electricity for business customers and local power distributors serving more than 9 million people in parts of seven southeastern states. It is named after an Indian village that was once home base to the Chickamaugan nation in the late 1700s. Nickajack Dam is located in Jasper, Marion County, TN about 20 miles west of Chattanooga. What's surprising is how they ship commodities such as grain, pulpwood, wood chips, soybean oil, salt, petroleum, steel products and coal along the reservoir, passing through the Nickajack lock. There is also the Nickajack Cave, which is an important habitat for the endangered species of migrating gray bats (Mytotis grisescens). The bats use the cave during the spring and summer to give birth and raise their young. At dusk, between late April and early October, the sky darkens as thousands of bats emerge from the mouth of the cave to feed. There is a viewing platform to see the bats emerge from the cave. The Nickajack Dam and Reservoir is a beautiful place to visit, enjoy the outdoor activities and even stop for a break.
