I had a lady named Judy, she was very informative and polite. She had decent knowledge on W2…read moreinformation and almost none on self employment. Also, the "no hidden fees" thing is a lie. There was 230$ of hidden fees on my bill. Judy recognizes that it caught me by surprise and gave me 25$ off which was nice. Still, an upfront cost would have been nice and is also ethical business practice. In the world we live in now it's all about greed and profit so, be aware. When you go here there will be hidden fees!

I thought I was going to pay in the neighborhood of $150 for my tax return prep, but after spending 45 minutes there, the "tax specialist" presented me with a bill of over $400 for her services. Never was I given any quote or indication that the bill would more than double from the clearly posted amount. When questioned, the woman started talking about charging per number of pages or some nonsense. I have always had a CPA do my taxes before, and never paid anywhere near this amount. This woman did NOT find me any deductions or save me a penny, she just merely went down a checklist and entered the standard deductions. I had to correct her spelling and grammar repeatedly as she typed on the keyboard with her 2 index fingers. I will NEVER use H & R Block services or products again. Ripped off once is more than enough, thank you.
