They then refused to use a telephone to correct the issue. This business seems to ONLY want to do business over email. Well, I tried that. The picture below shows how many attempts I made to get my meeting rescheduled. After the fifth attempt, I FINNALY got a response saying they are now closed tor the season! Haha! The same email explained they would be back in the office on August 18th and to reach back out at that time to continue where we left off. I had no choice since they had all my original tax documents and I could not retrieve them. I waited patiently for this time to arrive. They just returned back to the office at the said time and notified me that since I missed the onboarding call on April 22 that they refused to reschedule, they are not taking on any clients. If you are a high net-worth client like myself, I would avoid this company like the plague. They are unresponsive (as shown below), they lack systems to help when a client cant get into a meeting, they have no issue lying about revisiting your tasks after their promise to do so.

I thought I was going to pay in the neighborhood of $150 for my tax return prep, but after spending 45 minutes there, the "tax specialist" presented me with a bill of over $400 for her services. Never was I given any quote or indication that the bill would more than double from the clearly posted amount. When questioned, the woman started talking about charging per number of pages or some nonsense. I have always had a CPA do my taxes before, and never paid anywhere near this amount. This woman did NOT find me any deductions or save me a penny, she just merely went down a checklist and entered the standard deductions. I had to correct her spelling and grammar repeatedly as she typed on the keyboard with her 2 index fingers. I will NEVER use H & R Block services or products again. Ripped off once is more than enough, thank you.
