As you know, our group has stayed in the same cabin at Powell Park for the last 13 years. Upon our arrival on 4/15/26 Wednesday, and multiple times throughout Thursday and Saturday, we explicitly informed you of our intent to re-rent the cabin for 2027. We even attempted to pay the full amount on Saturday but were told to return Sunday once the 2027 tournament dates were officially confirmed. However, when we went to the office on Sunday to finalize the booking, we were informed that the cabin had already been rented to someone else. It is incredibly frustrating that after 13 years of loyalty, the cabin was rented out from under us despite our repeated verbal commitments and attempt to pay. I am disappointed that no effort was made to rectify this mistake or to check with us before giving the cabin to another party. This is not the level of professional courtesy we expected after more than a decade of patronage. JK

We circled back to the docks and the 1 staff member was not apologetic, but just said ... customers don't care of the boats when they return it...it's unfortunate that business owners don't or can't take more pride in their products. What does the $600/day pay for? Certainly not upkeep OR staffing... Do better!

Five stars for a gas station?…read more Needed to fill up the boat on an early Saturday morning after a run from Kemah. First gas station? Closed. Interesting to speak to the Coast Guard at that station who said that they had to have gas brought to them. Really?? Called around and spoke to Larry at Global Marina. Put the location in the simrad and then cruised through the Louisiana bayous in search of gas. Why the five star review? When we passed the station, Larry actually called us and directed us back. Loved hearing his fish tales. Catching a four and a half pound frog. That's a really big set of frogs legs! Alligators and alligator gar. Huge bass. Redfish. Sad to hear about the hurricanes that continue to pound the Southern Louisiana coastline. Also loved the old time gas meter. Thanks, Larry, for the Louisiana hospitality and stories.
