What a trip! Claude was the fantastic guide that led our ATV adventure and he was incredible! Four of us in the group for the day; two rode singles, with one being a newbie and I chose to sit in the princess seat behind my hubby as he drove our ATV. We were in excellent hands. Claude stopped us only a few times to take in the spectacular views from Shadow Mountain and what a spectacular photographer too! I would HIGHLY recommend taking the ATV tour and make sure you request Claude! Nitty Gritty -helmets were provided and fitted at the offices in Jackson. -we wore our own sunglasses under the shades built into the helmets. -we drove ourselves to a pin drop 25min outside of town and then followed Claude up to the trailhead where our ATV waited. -we reviewed safety and controls of each vehicle and hit the trail -we all wore long pants and variations of long sleeves because the dust is NO joke! -lunch was a simple sandwich with condiments and toppings on the side along with an ice cold water -there is a storage space about the size of a small backpack on each vehicle and we were able to secure our extras (sunscreen, layers, extra water, etc) in there BUT it was filthy at the end - it is not dust proof. -when the tour is done you end back at your cars and are on your own way from there read more

My family of four with kids 9 and 11 years old planned a last minute winter Jackson hole trip. We initially wanted to rent snowmobiles from the Jackson location to ride to granite hot springs, but was told we had to tow the machines ourselves. They also would not rent out the tow if we weren't experienced with it. So we decided to book two of the touring models out of Alpine (approx 45min drive from Jackson Hole). The office staff was amazing and so helpful. They had all the gear you needed to borrow except balacavas. Highly recommend bringing one or buying in office. The instructions and map were pretty simple. The trail is easy to follow and so beautiful. Kids had a blast. We were able to see a group of deers and a coyote. First if you are looking to explore the back country of the Grand Tetons this is a great way. Not only do you get the benefit of riding a fun machine you also get back to some very remote spots with scenery and animal sightings that were fantastic. Wife and I booked a full day side by side. They had all the equipment ready to go and all the extras we needed to stay warm - it was 41 degrees. After 6 hours of non stop riding - 125 miles - we were beat and completely satisfied. Best money spent. Also the people were so kind. We paid for the insurance to keep us covered, we also filled the side by side back up - for those who complained about this - seriously - it cost me a total of $10 to fill it up. This was by far the best part of our trip to Jackson. We had a guided ATV tour with 5 adults and one child. Our guide was Toby and he was awesome. We rented a jet ski this past weekend. It started having some issues so we called and talked to a mechanic who was very helpful. Unfortunately it wasn't the issue we had thought so we loaded it up and took it back to the shop. We booked two snowmobiles after I searched tours in the area with no luck. I was very skeptical and slightly nervous about going out on our own since we had never used snowmobiles before. We rented the snowmobiles out of the Alpine location and the staff was amazing from start to finish. My daughter was freaking out about a helmet and the girl at the front desk calmed her down and got her to wear it with no problem. She also went over the maps and explained everything thoroughly and what was safe being that it was our first time. This year my friends and I rented for two days because our one day last year just wasn't long enough. The staff was great and the snowmobiles and gear was all high quality. One of my buddies accidentally damaged the windshield and handlebars on our last day. We were expecting to be charged well over $500 for the repairs and were very pleased that the amount was a little over $200. My son and I took out their 2 seater 4 wheeler on an unaccompanied all day ride and was one of the best excursions I have ever done. IT WAS AMAZING! Although 8 hours seems like a long time, it went by so fast and we still didn't to get to see all the trails. Tips- get there as soon as they open to get started. Bring goggles or rent theirs (glasses won't block the dust). Bring or rent their igloo with water and snacks. Listen closely to their directions on how to get to the trails. Great experience with JHARs. We called a few weeks ahead to reserve 9 snowmobiles for non-guided use, as well as 2 trucks and trailers to pull them. No problem! We initially planned to head to Granite Hot Springs, but the crew suggested we pull them up to the Togwotee Pass trail system for a far better snowmobiling experience. We had an AWESOME time, a full day's use, and amazing views! We will definitely plan to rent again if we get the chance. Alex, or Alix (I didn't get the spelling) was an absolute joy to work with, she helped me and my girlfriend understand everything that we needed to know, with no fluf... other than the dog they have roaming around (which you totally need to ask to see). Rented a snowmobile. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Super affordable and super fun. Great staff, great equipment, over all, they are GREAT!!! I went to the Alpine location because you can head straight to the trailhead from the office. The attire was in tip-top shape, high quality (none of the cheap stuff) and plenty to go around. The sleds are the latest models; mine only had about 200 miles on it. They look and feel good! This was my 1st time snowmobiling and the staff was super professional and knowledgeable in explaining everything I needed to know to be safe and have a great time. The trails are AMAZING! Super scenic and long. I only did half a day (4 hours) but I put in 56 miles! A few pointers, the are no lockers to store your personal items but they let you tuck them away in the attire room. It was safe enough for me. Also you need to fill your sled up at the end of your ride, thus adding to the cost. But I only needed to add about $13 of gas for my 56 miles. Anyways, I WILL be returning. Highly recommended!!! read more
