They also would not rent out the tow if we weren't experienced with it. So we decided to book two of the touring models out of Alpine (approx 45min drive from Jackson Hole). The office staff was amazing and so helpful. They had all the gear you needed to borrow except balacavas. Highly recommend bringing one or buying in office. The instructions and map were pretty simple. The trail is easy to follow and so beautiful. Kids had a blast. We were able to see a group of deers and a coyote. For $600-850 a snow mobile, this outfit is greatly missing customer etiquette. We were told to be ready at 6am sharp. We wanted to confirm which side of the hotel pickup was, however neither the 1800 or 307 numbers work. We called repeatedly, text the 307 number, and had no idea if we'd been scammed until the coach showed up at 6:28. Showing up late with no working phone number was shocking for an outfit that demands logistics and communication at 6am. Once the coach showed up, I asked Jeff (guide) if there's any coffee since it's a 1+ hour ride to Yellowstone and coffee shops were not open. Scenic Safari's response? "You can die for an hour in the back." A bit rude, I ignored it. For comparison, the hotel shuttle that runs FOR FREEE has coffee and hot chocolate prepped in the van. No coffee on a $600-800 per person is one thing, but "You can die for an hour in the back," has ZERO customer etiquette. We get in the coach and the man has the lights on full blast over our heads. When asked to dim them since it's pitch black outside and the contrast painful to anyone with migraines, Jeff makes the remark "lights are going off because there's someone sensitive in the back." Zero basic customer etiquette. Just turn the light off. Everyone heard the request. Three strikes before the fist 30 minutes of the trip with 8 hours to go.

He took us up the mountain and back down. If you forget or lose your swim items in the river this also doubles up as a bathing suit and flip flop shop! The mark up is high but the quality of the stuff was good! Would come Back again. $40 for an hours worth of fun was worth it. We got to tube about 4 times down the river in the hour we rented! Mountain Mayhem was fantastic…read more It's a cute, little sporting goods store right in the middle of town. The river was in full swing so much of what they focus on is water or tubing related. They've colonized the vacant lot next door to serve up the 4 or 5 different tubes they offer from single seaters to fairly large quads. My wife found their website and was impressed with the low prices they offered. We got to the store and learned that the website had not been updated for some time but they honored the website pricing and our gang got to enjoy a great day on the river for next to nothing. We did manage to put a hole in our quad on the first run and were a little concerned about returning it and asking for a replacement. But the guy didn't blink, just pulled out another quad and sent us on our way. For a little more than the standard rental they also offer a shuttle service from the usual pull out point to the drop in point at the eastern end of town. It would have been fun but we decided that our chubby, little crew could use as much exercise as we could possibly get so we hoofed it each time. It was kind of an odd experience to be among a couple dozen people carrying inner tubes through the middle of town, sometimes blocking the street to get around one another. And if you keep your eyes open there are at least 3 places were the hot spring water joins the much cooler river. So if your getting tired and want to sit back and relax for a bit there's some beautifully leafy places where you can warm up, relax and catch your breath. We had one of those special, "remember it for years", kind of days and Mountain Mayhem helped make it possible. It was awesome. One final encouragement. Go over the waterfall just upriver of the usual drop in. It'll give you a good, little scare and get the juices pumping for the rest of your ride. My girls can handle it. You can too.
