Our experience with Chef Andrew and his team was absolutely incredible. They prepared a private meal at our Airbnb in Jackson Hole that was easily the highlight of our trip. From the very beginning, Chef Andrew was super communicative and highly collaborative. He worked closely with me to design a perfect, custom menu that catered exactly to what we were looking for. That level of care really showed in the final result. The food was exceptional, especially the huckleberry cheesecake, which was legitimately the best I've ever had. The service throughout the night was seamless and professional, and they were even kind enough to leave the kitchen spotless before they headed out. I own a cleaning service and drinks. Idaho and I had my entire staff for New Year's Day for an event that chef Andrew Blake from Jackson Private Chef services catered. He did us a gourmet street taco bar which is amazing. Everything was homemade. He had brisket, tacos, carne asada, tacos, chicken, tacos, shrimp, tacos, maje, mahi, tacos, Seven different Celsius chips , and he made the chips to order. They were so Krispy and hot. The guacamole was amazing season so well and I'm of Mexican Descent and I gotta tell you. It is the best Mexican food I've ever had he also tres leches cake one of my favorite desserts ever. We recently had Chef Andrew Blake cater my daughter's birthday. The food and presentation was amazing and delicious. His appetizers of tangy cauliflower, ceviches, pistachio and goat cheese crusted lamb ribs, and gravlox (better than my favorite deli in NYC) were beyond delicious. The main course was either Herb marinated seared halibut or Bison filets with delicious sauce and sides. The dessert was the most amazing huckleberry crumble. Extremely delicious, high end, visually appealing food! But equally unprofessional and difficult to work with in the end. The night of our event (our wedding) chef Andrew requested a form of payment that would appear in his bank account immediately but didnt provide any options besides payment apps, nor did he give us warning of this request, leading to souring my grooms wedding night from the long and unpleasant interaction. This issue also lead to me spending the morning after my wedding calling our banks customer service line because he couldnt wait 2 business days for payment to process. We had no issue with his partner Adam (i think was his name) though, he was lovely and a bright spot. I really didnt want to write a review but i felt i had to share my experience because that's what a vendor should expect when they provide a very unprofessional and unpleasant experience, even if the food was delicious. We were lenient of many, many chaotic interactions up to this point because they werent that serious but this, coupled with the fact that the stovetop of the airbnb kitchen that was used was absolutely disgusting the next day (leading to me having to rigorously scrub a stove top the morning after my wedding because i didnt want to get fined by the home owner) was just too much. We had Andrew with us for four nights in Jackson hole for my mom's birthday- we were a party of six. The food was amazing,we had four courses each evening and he would make us breakfast for the next morning. He did all of our grocery shopping and in the evenings Andrew had an assistant with him that would also bartend for us. Andrew was Excellent! We saw his website and reached out to him ahead of a family trip to Jackson. We had a group of 8 with four adults and four kids aged 7-12. Andrew is a consummate pro, classically trained at Le Codon Bleu. We hired Andrew to prepare a dinner for 11 in a Teton Village rental house. He overcame a poorly outfitted kitchen by bringing his own supplies and equipment. His 4 course dinner included bison and the best halibut that I have ever tasted. I have had several, singularly memorable meals prepared by Chef Andrew. The first was when he was still Executive chef at the Mangy Moose dining room, and two other times as a private chef in my home. Chef Andrew is a classically trained, Cordon Blue Culinary School graduate (Paris), and brings his vast experience running his own successful Miami restaurants and world travels to Jackson Hole. I even wrote down some of the dishes he's served me and my friends, including: *Tuna Nicesoise carpaccio with a zesty soy drizzle *Coho salmon with cilantro ginger Yuzu sauce and Asian slaw *Baseball sized Veal meatballs w/ ground pork, spices, multi-cook preparation. He created his own 'sauce', for the tender morsels. Very different, so tasty. It took hours of pre-meal prep, and it was quite a hit with the guests. *Cuttthroat Trout Carpaccio with Asian pickled cucumber mango wasabi sauce *Buffalo filet mignon with bourbon sweet potato mash and huckleberry peppercorn sauce *Coho salmon with ancho chili honey glaze cedar plank roasted *Heirloom tomatoes with roasted beet infused goat cheese *Watermelon salad with arugula and feta Mediterranean style *Elk stroganoff with shaved specialty cheeses. Very filling! In all, Andrew is a world-class chef who's chasing his ski dreams here in the Teton Valley. I highly recommend him for dinner functions, especially more intimate affairs. He has talked about doing weddings and large events, but my experience has been with letting him create and explain the process with us. Andrew has an amazingly confident disposition, a certainty in his chef skills borne out by his pedigree and his celebrity photos. Come on, the guy cooked a meal for Julia Child! A few weeks ago, he was flown to Aspen to cook for Kevin Costner's summer bash. Chef Andrew made several courses for our family vacationing in Victor, ID. We could never imagined how amazing the food was. I recently had the pleasure of eating Chef Andrew's food on a trip to Big Sky with a group of 15 friends, and it was truly the best private catering I ever had. Not only was the food on par with that of a tip restaurant, but he was able to prepare multiple-course meals throughout the day all by himself with no troubles to any of the guests. Honestly don't know how he was able to do it, but would highly recommend him for any private group that is planning to make a trip out west (or anywhere). Chef Andrew had an incredible spread of freshly-made chips and guac along some of the best salmon burgers I've ever had ready for the group at 4:30pm the minute they got back from the mountain, and then 4 hours later one of the best barbecues I've ever had (all for 15 people with no help).
