About 5 minutes later Richie called me back asking how he could help me *** Huge kudos for the extra effort*** I asked him his price on loam and he was cheaper by $1.00 a yard, not a huge savings, but considering his general attitude and only being 1.5 miles further down the road I opted for Landscape Express, and am I glad I did. If you've never been to Landscape Express, Richie not only rings you out but also loads you up, so there is no dealing with yard personnel unless he is very busy (BTW all his yard workers are as friendly as he is) Being a homeowner, it was so nice to see that my money was just as important as they guy behind me buying 15 yards of loam. I just recently went back to purchase crushed stone for my garage foundation and even though I accidentally came after hours (they close at 4pm in July) Richie was as helpful as ever. We have a unique post and beam structure that is not amenable to serious modification. As a result virtually all other designers wanted us to significantly modify the exterior profile of the house to get the cabinet storage and counter tops that we wanted. When we first spoke with Emilie she offered to create a side by side design with our current front running design. She had great visualization software that gave us 3 dimensional views which were very helpful. Her design and cost break down were significantly competitive with the previous designs we had. We then agreed to have her run her own design to see what she could come up with. Her design was an immediate favorite. She was able to accommodate the need for cabinets and countertops without modifying the exterior profile. The quality and configurations of the cabinets were a big selling factor. Emilie created an extensive and comprehensive design for the final cabinet purchase. She worked with us to successfully utilize every inch of available space. The final installation instructions were highlighted with extra notations to emphasize installation requirements. Her attention to detail is remarkable. She came out to the sight several times to facilitate the design and discuss special placements with the primary contractor. Overall we are exceptionally happy with the effort Emilie contributed and the final product is better than we had hoped. The only negative issue we had was a couple problems with delivery. There were a few damaged cabinets which delayed the finishing the final product. However, the cabinets were replaced and we are happy with the final product.
