Carriagetown Kitchens was recommended to my husband and I by our contractor, Stenquist Custom Builders, Inc., who has recommended the design firm for several years to his clients.  In meeting with Emilie Seuffert, owner, I found her to be extremely thorough and very easy to work with.  Our project was a down to studs kitchen renovation within an antique home.  Given that we wanted to maintain the integrity of the original antique home as well as keep some of the charming original features abutting the kitchen space, we wanted to work within the existing footprint, very challenging due to the size of the space.  While I came prepared with a rough draft design plan, Emilie brought up suggestions/issues that I hadn't thought of and worked with me to squeeze every bit of functionality possible out of the compact design. The design choices married beautifully within the antique home while at the same time offering many modern design/layout/functional elements. Emilie was very patient and flexible and truly listened to my wants concerning the space.  She was proactive in keeping us up to date regarding the design/ordering/delivery process, especially important in this "pandemic" period.  She also worked closely with our contractor throughout the process to ensure there would be no issues.  Delivery and installation went off without a hitch. I was referred to Carriagetown Kitchens after a friend found out I was going through Lowe's for our kitchen remodel. I never thought I could afford to go through a designer so would not have considered doing so without the referral. It was the best decision ever! The quality of the cabinets, hardware and counter tops they offer is top notch and they work very closely with you to help you stay within your budget. I came to Emilie with a floor plan, 3-D layout and appliance specs for a new kitchen and bar area, but nothing more. Working together we were able to transform my ideas into a fabulous custom kitchen and bar. Her design expertise and color sense helped to pull it all together. She was able to help me see everything as a whole to create a fully integrated space. She has a great eye for color and understands the complexity of cabinets. We worked together to select the cabinet style, cabinet finishes, granite countertops, flooring, and hardware, not detail was overlooked. Once the design was completed, she worked seamlessly with me and my contractors on the installation. We were working with new construction so she coordinated appliance and cabinet spacing with them prior to build out. In the end everything fit perfectly.
