Her Toyota Highlander has been great and reliable transportation for her and her music equipment... until last night. On her way home (Dickinson area) from a gig in Palacios TX, she had an electrical system malfunction, that resulted in the motor dying (among other things). Thankfully, the band leader and his wife were there to park behind her and push her car off to the side, out of the lane of traffic. The first tow company they called was unavailable, but they recommended Richard Valdez of Big Tows who thankfully was on duty and available. He was there in less than 10 minutes, had her loaded on his heavy-duty flatbed quickly and began the 98 mile (per Google) trip toward home. I can't even adequately express how grateful we all were to find Richard and Big Tow. Getting to know him personally was even better. My wife said on the phone that he was extremely kind, reassuring and immediately got her into his cab out of the night air and potential traffic danger. Once they were here at our house, I found out everything she said was true; friendly, funny, professional and very fair. I could go on longer, but to conclude, if I lived ANYWHERE near El Campo and needed a tow at any time of night or day, I would absolutely call Richard first (uploaded a pic of his business card). And, even though we live about a hundred miles from there, I guarantee he will be our first call if we ever need a tow anywhere, because you never know if he might be available. This husband is so very grateful to Richard for being so kind and reassuring to my wife, who was experiencing her first breakdown, at night, in unfamiliar territory. I brought my truck in for the $125 A/C diagnostic service to find out why my A/C wasn't blowing…read morecold. After a few hours of diagnosing they determined nothing was wrong with my AC and told me the TIPM had a solid state relay that wasn't sending power to my AC compressor. so, they could replace the TIPM and reprogram my truck, but since I have a tune and a delete, I wasn't interested in any computer modulating. They agreed to wire me a switch to keep the truck the way it is but to bypass the TIPM relay. After them wiring the truck (after the fuse but before the relay) they charged me 500 bucks and I went on my way....... But the truck AC still didn't work when I picked it up. So I called them and brought it back. They pulled another vacuum, recharged it with UV dye, and called me back with a completely recharged and functioning (ICE COLD) AC system free of charge. When I turn the switch off in the truck, the compressor stops and it quits blowing cold and when I flip it, it turns back on and runs beautifully. They explained every thing thoroughly, fixed their mistake the second time for free, and were professional and quick to work with. I highly recommend for any type of work. Obviously wiring a random switch is pretty custom and not just a part swap. Thank you Howarton Automotive.
