This may be a long one. Im originally for San Diego. Had my best friend since she was 1 year old. Traveled cross country w me 3 times & around Mexico. It wasn't until we were in Jacksonville (away from family & new to the area) that I found myself needing to board her. After WEEKS of searching different facilities, I choose PAWVILLE. Saying I was a MESS leaving her there was an understatement. I cried leaving her. The facility was beautiful, well kept, secure & the staff was friendly (again, just me being an over protective parent). I Bella stayed for 6 days. I received pictures of my baby and the staff was patient with me, when I'd call to check on her. Needless to say, I cried ALOT when I picked up my baby. She was happy to see me and she was fine. A lil confused, but she was fine and well cared for. I ended up using PAWVILLE a.few times while we were in Jacksonville. Fast forward 4 years & back in San Diego I recently rescued another dog & need to board him (here we go again). My thoughts, "its San Diego, this will be easy." The bar PAWVILLE instilled in my needs for boarding is beyond measure. I miss the facility & the comfort I found in knowing my furchild was safe. We had a family emergency and had to go home for a death in our family and needed a place to board our dog for 3 weeks. It started with the report card pictures, I noticed that he was becoming very thin. He was sent with a bag of 18lb bag of dog food and I signed and paid for them to feed him the food they had when he ran out. I noticed marks on him unsure if it was from them or their dogs, one picture you can see blood on his paw and never once did they say anything about him being hurt. He also came back home flinching really bad, when I would go to simply pet him he would duck. When we got him back home and started feeding him like his normal again he fatten up back to normal very fast. He also has became aggressive when we bathe him with the shower head (he bit my friend while she was bathing him) when he used to not be till he went to pawville. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Pawville in Jacksonville. I boarded my two very sweet pitbulls for the first time over the weekend and they can both be a lot to handle, the staff was nothing short of kind and amazing. They were playing a bit rough on their last day and needed to be separated and we were immediately notified by the staff in such a kind way. My dogs had constant access to their own private yard and food without any other dogs which was very nice since it was their first time boarding. I never had to board my pups, because I always had family by to watch over them. Moving here and not having family put me in a uneasy situation because I was leaving them with people I didn't know. Pawville was absolutely amazing with my dogs. They sent me a daily report card with lots of pictures and it made me feel 10x better about them being away. Just picked my dog up and was told she was bleeding because "she must've had a scab that fell off". We didn't think anything of it until we took a look and found a deep cut on her leg requiring stitches. Not only did they lie to our face about the severity of the injury, but also refused to take any responsibility for it. I refuse to take my dog back and I recommend you don't either. read more

My dog is a two-year-old husky that weighs 35 lbs. We've taken her to board at places for weekends away and she would run to my husband and I like she couldn't get out of there fast enough. We just picked her up from her first stay at Pawville and she barely paid attention to us! She was so happy during her stay. We got her the townhouse (indoor with outdoor access) and she loved it! They sent us "report cards" around noon so we could see pictures of her play sessions with the other boarded pups. They would even write notes about how she was doing! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Finding a place you trust with your fur baby is hard, but this one you'll have no worries about! read more

Our dog stayed here for a few nights when we went on vacation. She had a tiny injury on the tip of her tail. It had scabbed over, and was about the size of half a pinky nail. We upgraded her to a bigger room with an outside area to help ensure she wouldn't hit it on the walls. We asked them to keep it wrapped with our vet wrap to prevent it from getting worse. They didn't to say the least. When I picked her up I noticed it was MUCH MUCH worse, and rushed her to the vet. No one called, messaged, or attempted to contact us in any way. We ended up spending about $1500 treating and finally amputating it. She was also returned with 12 cups of extra food that she should have eaten during her stay. She has to eat 3 cups 3 times a day, and with the amount left they would have only been feeding her twice a day. If they couldn't fit it into their schedule to feed her 3 times they could have told me when they accepted the reservation, or fed her extra at her other feedings. She's a 115lb Great Dane. 6 cups a day is not enough. If they can't even manage to do these tasks I worry for the dogs who have to take medication. read more

My husky was boarded here last week. We are happy with our experience. Upon arriving I noticed it was very clean inside and outside. We signed up for their online account so we were able to see her "report card" which was just pictures of her playing with some other dogs as well as a note about how she was doing, which was nice since it was our first time boarding her and we had puppy parent concerns. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because we only received one update. I think every other day would be appropriate. If we need to board her again we will definitely pick pawville. Updated to 5 stars: the most recent time we brought her in we received pictures everyday! It was a great comfort to know that my girl was being taken care of! read more

Love Pawville! We're new to the area but were recommended them by several people. It's great how they do everything at this location - overnight boarding, daycare, AND grooming services. We've taken our dog here a few times for doggie daycare and he comes back so worn out and just falls asleep in the car ride home. It's always nice getting the report cards in the middle of the day to see your dog is having so much fun. I also appreciate the cameras they have so you can check up on your pup. We're always hesitant about new places to take our dog to, but because the staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the cameras and daily report cards are reassuring, that I'm glad to say we've found the perfect place to care for him whenever we're away and working long days! read more

I can't stand being away from my cat but if I absolutely have to, this is my first place I call to check for availability. Here the cats stay in their own cat condos and not little tiny cages like other places. I worry about my cat a lot but her being here gives me some peace of mind. Every encounter I had with staff was exceptional. The place is very nice and clean. I also really love the dog rooms. The dog yard outside is a little small but its fine. Pawville is hands-down, the very best animal daycare and groomer in Jacksonville. My best friend, Mia, has been going to Pawville for the 5 years since we rescued each other. It's now a 25 minute drive for me to drop Mia off for a daycare and/or spa day, on my days off and I'd gladly drive further. As our drive gets us closer to Pawville's beautiful and well-equipped facility, Mia gets so excited! I receive a daily report card during her visit, which includes a narrative and photos. Last minute had my two Guinea pigs boarded and they were incredibly nice and accommodating. Nicest staff ever and very efficient in getting animal info. My pigs were rescued from an abusive household and terrified of human touch but the staff were very patient with them which was sweet. Super prices too. Totally recommend! read more

One of the most caring staff we have ever met. The dogs were clean and happy when we picked them up.

There needs to be better communication with pricing and the total amount that will be paid at pick-up. We were quoted $70 for a 2 night stay, then we decided to extend our trip by 1 night and were more than willing to pay for the extra night but ended up paying more for their boarding than we did for our hotel. There needs to be hard copy quotes given out so that there is no room for error. We paid for our dogs to stay in a suite Friday-Sunday and they didn't even get to their suite until late Friday evening. We sent our dogs with their own bed, blankets, toys, etc and they didn't even sleep with their own blankets. Their cameras stopped working at around 10am on Saturday morning and we couldn't see them for the rest of their weekend. One of the employees told us that we could check out their Instagram to see more of our dogs through the day, and they never showed our dogs. That would've been nice considering their cameras didn't work but our dogs were nowhere to be found. We had high hopes for this place, but we were severely disappointed. PS: I suggest going to Animal House for boarding, they seem to be better organized, they have a larger play area and even in ground pools! UPDATE: The owner, Phil, called and we came to a resolution. We took our senior Dalmatian mix to have his nails cut. The ladies were very friendly and took their time carefully using the Dremel on our old guy. They were careful not to hurt him (he has bad arthritis and hip dysplasia). We are pleased to have such great service and will be bringing him back for his monthly nail appt. Dräger & Phaedrus were boarded together and I was so nervous about it. Phaedrus is only 4 months and has never been away from me and Dräger is our old guy so he's pretty easy. To say we are blown away with our experience would be a true understatement. From dropping them off to each daily report, pictures, and picking them up I could not say enough great things. The staff went above and beyond at welcoming us and greeting each dog as we came in which was the best! The reports and pictures were just heart warming and even our kids would ask each day to check my email to see if the report and pictures had arrived yet. To say I'm disappointed with pawville is an understatement at best. I've been taking Luke to doggy day camp everyday since November so I've had a good experience but that has all changed since I took him to boarding. I gave 11 bags of portioned food and instructed the staff to feed one bag every morning and night, I also gave 3 boxes of mixer and asked to mix 1 tablespoon with his food. When I picked Luke up they gave me 1 box and 8 bags of food. When I asked they said they gave him one portion at night only. That doesn't make sense because if that was true then he should've been given 4 bags not 3. I also gave a bag of 4 bone treats and asked to give him one each night but they didn't give him any. This kind of treatment should be considered neglect and is unacceptable. read more

I gave them 4/5 bc, I made an appointment for 9am. I came in and they said I didn't have an appointment and that I made a mistake. If you need boarding in the J-ville area, look no further! I had to schedule boarding for a week (very) last minute, and the staff made it a breeze! At drop off, they asked all kinds of questions about my dogs to get to know them, what worked best for them, and about a vet in case of emergency. Almost every day I was gone I got pictures from their play time, so I knew they were having a blast, which was a huge comfort. Add to that their rates were very agreeable.
