The event runs through every Thursday each week, on the month of October annually. It caters to all ages and skill level riders. This is one event I love to attend and look forward to every year; the event's proceeds goes towards to benefit certain organizations and local youth teams. And.... it's a fun event. The objective; loop the race course as many times as you can in 45 minutes. You are given a race bib during registration, and there are volunteers that monitors and records each time you pass the completion line. And on the very last week of this race is called "The Halloween Edition", where you have the option to dress up and race in your costume. Now I haven't seen a witch fly on a broom, but I have officially seen witches on bikes now. It's purely a sight to see my pretties.

So when I connected with Bil Gates (Bil it's one "L" real name no kidding) at Scuba Rite who is both Manager and Instructor of the local JAX Scuba Rite Shop off Belfort Rd, I was so pleased to know that he "gets it" and "gets me!" I love that Scuba Rite is very quality training focused and makes this the primary element of their business model. They are moving away from equipment sales and laser-focusing on their broad training curriculum of Courses towards Diver 1-4, Master Diver, Nitrox Diver and Instructor Diver Level Certifications. Moreover, Scuba Rite provides customers with a "try SCUBA" experience (single and couples) which allows first-timers to "get your feet wet" and safely explore the underwater world without full-certification. IMO, this is a great progression towards the full certification program (Diver 1). The best part of what Scuba Rite offers is the fabulous locations that they use for their training and excursion dives: Troy Springs, Fanning Springs, Blue Springs, Devils Den Springs and my personal favorite Ginnie Springs (where I completed my NAUI Openwater 1 Rec Diver Certification). Now that I'm used to using Yelp, I know that they are not! People are honest and leaving the reviews based off of their experience. And that is what I'm doing here today. I am an adult who has never learned how to swim. After looking up countless swim sites, I settled on AquaMobile Swim School. They are affordable and convenient swim lessons conducted at YOUR home. Lets be honest, learning how to swim (especially as an adult) can be pretty embarrassing. But the confinement of your home allows you to relax and feel comfortable. PLUS - AquaMobile Swim School allows you to pick your instructor! I LOVED that! After picking my instructor and paying the fees, my lessons were booked. An hour later, I received a phone call from the instructor (Ellen B.) She introduced herself, asked me questions about myself and my swimming experience. During our first lesson, we went over kicking, blowing bubbles / breathing, and freestyle stroke. We finished our second lesson earlier this morning and I can honestly say ... I can swim! It may not be as swift as Michael Phelps, but I can swim! We practiced with a noodle initially, but by the time our one hour lesson finished, I was able to swim on my own. I still get nervous every now and then, but Ellen reassures me that she is right there by my side and I'm doing well. Some people give false hope and continuously say "Oh you're doing great! Keep up the good work! You're really getting the hang of this..... etc" But what I love about Ellen is that she's been honest with me from the beginning. "You need to kick a little harder. You aren't breathing properly. You are sinking because you aren't kicking as hard as you need to... etc" When I was able to swim on my own today, she shared my excitement! Being 27 years old, that made me happy! You never want to complete a lesson with someone who isn't passionate about what they are doing. If all instructors are like Ellen B., look no further! AquaMobile Swim School is where you need to schedule your At Home Swim Lessons! I initially booked Ellen B. for five lessons, but I think I will extend it to ten lessons to improve my strokes. My son goes to the facility 4 days out of the week to participate in the classes. Coach Alex is great with him. He has taught my son many new techniques that he was not getting from his local coaches and works with my son to correct his incorrect motions. Coach Cason is very dedicated to his sessions. My son always comes home from his sessions and says he works him out very hard but thorough. And Coach Jared just knows all his stuff. No one in the industry I would trust more than the staff here at Rip City!! 100% recommend.
