Had dinner here tonight with friends . They are lucky to get a 3 star rating. That was only due to…read morethe food ( which was great ) . The waitress was clearly disappointed we weren't using the app to order . That's because she was hopeless. The food order came slightly mixed up , drinks went missing, staff went missing when it was time to order more drinks . When the food came we were expected to eat with our hands ( well I guess ribs are a caveman dish ) and then once we finally found someone to tell we had no cutlery there was still a 10 min wait . Hang on I forgot to tell you about the missing drink . We told our waitress it went missing, 5 minutes later she returned to tell us it hadn't been ordered , did we want to order the drink . Seriously Manuel from faulty towers was better than these people . Then there was no one to take our money . The good food is not actually worth the pathetic service . They won't get my money again.

We couldn't book a table for dinner before arriving and were told we would have a 30 minute wait…read more We hit the bar and had a table less than 20 minutes later. The walls are covered in pop culture junk, so it's not the classiest of places, but we got seated beneath a large toy Millennium Falcon so I was a happy boy. Happy hour was rapidly finishing once we got a table and for some stupid reason you couldn't get Happy Hour prices if you ordered your drinks from a waiter. This resulted in a ten minute wait at an almost empty bar for a couple of beers. When the manager (he wasn't dressed in the usual uniform so I'm calling him the manager) saw we were waiting he jumped behind the bar for our drinks, only they had no clean pot glasses so we scored pints for the price of a Happy Hour pot. If the beer was better than the Carlton Draught on offer that would score you an extra star on this review Mr Manager. The restaurant was very busy so service and food wasn't so fast, but I've just got back from America, so everything seems slow back here at home compared to there. When the food did arrive it was quite good, so I didn't mind the wait. I had the NY Strip with cheesy mashed potato and onion rings as a side. Onion rings can be pretty dodgy at times in Australia (comparing things to America again here) but these were damn good, as was the steak and mash. Oh, bring your ear plugs along too. Since this is a part of a chain of family friendly restaurants the staff will gather around a table to sing/shout a rather annoying song whenever it is someone's birthday. I just wanna eat my food guys, not listen to you embarrass the people at the table next to us.

Looking at this place you would think they must be better than your average fish and chips. The…read morerestaurant is very nicely decorated, the chairs, the layout and even the technology this guys are using is top of the range. I came here because of that first impression and the very friendly staff. But none of those mentioned above will compensate for the terrible food they are making. I mean you would think that after all those decades ( apparently this is a chain of another fish and chips shop that has been around since the 50's) you could put together some kind of a killer recipe. I had the wagyu burger with chip and a drink and my wife had the chicken chips and drink. The wagyu beef burger had this dry feeling and it just smelt awkward like a lot of burnt oil or some kind of grease. Nevertheless extremely unappetising. The chips is nothing special just dry. My wife's chicken burger: the chicken was next to raw with blood still inside. I could not have had a more terrible experience. The only reason I'm giving this place a two star is because of the counter staff and the very nice lady who held the chips outside. DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE CHIPS. hopefully in the future other yelpers give this place a positive review in the future and most importantly the people running this place realise they have to live up to the promise of something that have kept them alive for all those decades. I certainly saw nothing special.
