Walked into the flower shop and there's everything BUT flowers. A few small arrangements to see and that's it. When I asked for a catalogue they only showed me the website with super limited options. I thought they would have lots of different flowers out for me to choose from and curate my own arrangement, not vaguely describe it and a designer makes it and I have no idea what it'll eventually look like but have to put down $600. I want to physically choose my flowers. I am not knowledgeable enough to tell the worker all the specific flowers I want- I went in person to physically look and select them. So much wasted space in the warehouse because they could make this a curated experience like I just described but don't offer this. Why spend so much on rent if it's basically just pick up and choose from catalogue online. Such as step 1: choose a vase step 2: select base flowers step 3: choose 3 filler flowers. No support whatsoever with selection. It sucks because my fiance buys around 30 large arrangements a year and we were looking for a new place that could make exotic and unique arrangements. read more

This store is frickin amazing!! You can easily spend 40+ minutes in here browsing all the amazing items and unique and pretty flowers and decorations. I couldn't stop taking pictures because everything is so aesthetic and beautifulllll I love their napkin selections, candle selections, card selections, etc etc!! Even if you don't plan on buying anything, it is a great place to walk around and admire and to be inspired. Their delivery trucks are the cutest and wrapped in floral decor as well My favorite decor is the display floral bike they put out in front. So pretty and cute and eye catching!! Received my Valentine's bouquet yesterday and was totally astonished at the size of the arrangement. The vase alone was close to 2 feet tall. The roses were close to 2 fret. I couldn't even pick it up from my front porch I suggest when you order flowers from Jacob Maarse You let them know this is for a residence and most likely will be a centerpiece for a table not a centerpiece for a ballroom. I had to redo the whole arrangement just so it could fit on my dining room table Again I think this florist should have asked a few simple questions. I tried to call them this morning to talk to the person who took the order. He won't be in until next week and the manager won't be in until next Tuesday so hopefully they'll read my review and give some thought to orders coming in. read more

For a valentines/anniversary delivery to a workplace, on a Friday, at 1:30pm they had NOT even arranged, let alone delivered the bouquet i had ordered delivered to my Lady. I called them and their explanation of "well technically we have until the end of the business day to deliver" is the most asinine explanation I can think of. While technically yes the end of the day would be correct, when applied practically, what good is it to receive flowers at work (basically an errand you now have to deal with) when you're just trying to leave for the day? Especially considering the place is a quarter mile away from your flower shop. I asked them what would happen if someone took off from work kind of early that day due to it being Friday, their anniversary, and Valentine's Day? Their answer: "We would call you and arrange for an alternate delivery time/pickup." Are you stupid? The whole point of paying several hundred dollars to have you arrange a bouquet and charge me delivery is to have it delivered on the day that I goddamn chose. If you want to deliver it whenever YOU feel like it, don't charge us a full tanks worth of gas per delivery charge. It's painfully obvious this place just takes hundreds of flower orders on Valentine's Day they can't fulfill in a timely manner, just to cashgrab in on profits for ONE day, while doing their best job to make sure they lose their customers for the other days of the year. Marina the manager is pretty nice and understanding, but at the end of the day my lady got her flowers at 4pm...on Valentine's...on our anniversary...on a Friday. Honestly the worst part is that the florist is 2 (literally) blocks from her work. I hope you all read this review before considering using this florist for any special event or holiday. They have no sense of urgency or customer service until you call pissed off. Marina made attempts to make this better, but they ended up delivering this super awkward looking mishmash of a bouquet where it looks like they placed 2 completely random bouquets in a vase together and just rushed it out the door. 3/4 of the roses are sticking out of the vase and leaning over like they're gonna fall out of the vase. While the quality of the flowers is gorgeous, the lack of attention to detail is disappointing. Very very disappointed in them, but it's no surprise that their stars have gone from 4.5 to 3.5 in the few years I've been using them. I will post an update since Marina insisted on further making it up to me, hence not giving them a 1 star review. She seems to really care, which is a rarity nowadays. Hopefully the next time I use them (at Marinas insistence), I am able to change my review to a higher one. But I still think I will be avoiding them on holidays, regardless. read more
