Adam was thorough and detailed when he came to quote the job, even going through the paint color palette with me. Jason was the project manager and along with the office staff respected my communication preference (text and email), were timely, friendly, clear. Javier was crew chief and came over to power wash on Monday while checking the condition of the siding and work requirements. Then 7 am Monday right on time, he brought a big crew of six to prep all areas for painting, paint, touch up, clean up. I also continue to find splattered stain on windows, roofing, vents, just about everywhere. I'll include some pictures for your viewing pleasure. The splotchy finish on the front facade of my house (which Derrick said I wouldn't notice after a couple months but is still glaring a year and a half later) is probably the thing that annoys me the most. That's a tough call to make though since my house is covered in gouge marks from their inept power washer. I'll say this - Derrick s a nice guy and their bid was the most competitive, but you definitely get what you pay for and I'm kicking myself for going with Painting Plus. Long story short - their power washer gouged every side of my house. He also washed a recessed doorway without thinking about where the water would drain and flooded my basement, ruining the ceiling. Painting Plus patched the hole in the ceiling but were unable to match the finish and unwilling to repaint the entire ceiling so I'm also left with that to enjoy (and fix with someone better in the future) In the end, I tried to work with Derrick. I told him to come out and see what I was left with and if he felt it was representative of their quality then I'd pay the full price he was asking. If it wasn't for the original issues or if it was solely based on my experience with the owners and KR, I would have left 5 stars. After all was said and done, I am happy with the job that they did. *Original Review* Everything started out great - KR was on time for the appointment for a quote and was very responsive when it came to questions about their services and about pricing. What did not go well was the actual job. When it came to protecting the home and floors from over spray. Paint on the wood floors, paint on the gas fireplace, paint in the grout of the tile, paint on the shower glass, paint on door hinges and plates. They even lost some of the hinges and just hung the doors up without them. They attempted to come to the house and correct some of the issues and literally made it worse by getting espresso paint on our new carpet - we had to have the carpet in that area replaced. They also were supposed to fix a crack in the ceiling and the caulk they put in there lasted for about a week.

Josh who provided the initial estimate made good recommendation regarding paint sheen for the different surface types, and asked several questions about things I had not even thought of such as front and back colors for doors.. While we were only using three colors, due to the different sheens for concrete walls, wallboard, and door trim, we ended up with 7 different paints. Scheduling was easy and they helped accommodate our availability. When the painters came in to do the work they were friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to understand which paints were to be used where. They did an excellent job; multiple coats of paint for rooms that went from dark gray to a neutral taupe and caulked the floorboards where necessary and filled in scrapes and picture holes where we needed it.
