I asked if they had seasoned firewood. Yes. I asked if they delivered. Yes. I asked the price. "$100". I asked if that included delivery and stacking. "Yes." Delivery and stacking of seasoned firewood I emphasized? "Yes". When the truck arrived it was obvious that the wood was not seasoned at all. It looked like it had been split last week. The driver told me he was going to dump the load and I would have to stack it. Or it would be an extra $40 to stack it. Then when I told him to leave, he said he would stack it for $25. I told him that wasn't what I had agreed to. I had agreed to pay $100 for seasoned wood, delivered and stacked. Out of frustration he stacked it anyway with me helping on the truck. This wood should be ready to burn by next Christmas. Do NOT trust this company!

My partner is a hardworking minority man who showed up and gave his full effort--working long hours in 98-degree heat to fulfill the job requirements as agreed upon. Not only was he underpaid for the labor he completed, but he was also told that his payment would be delayed until the following week, despite being clearly informed that he would be paid on Friday. That was the agreement, and for a working man with a family to support, that delay and lack of respect is more than just an inconvenience--it's disheartening and unjust. To treat any worker this way--especially someone who honored their end of the deal in extreme conditions--is unprofessional and exploitative. People deserve fair pay for fair work, and no one should be left waiting or wondering if they'll be compensated properly, especially after enduring such conditions. This experience reflects a serious lack of integrity and accountability that no company should tolerate.
