I recently had Lopez remove a tree and grind the stump near my home. The proximity of the tree required them to climb the tree rather than use a bucket truck. The skill and precision the team used to remove the tree without damage to the house, fence, and other objects in the are was outstanding. The crew that came to grind the stump took the time to grind many of the roots radiating from the stump and even used an ax to remove some the grinder couldn't reach. The Lopez crews went over and beyond to provide excellent service, and their price was substantially lower than my other estimate. I will be using them in the future as my preferred tree service. read more

I had a very large tree to remove. 7-8 large branches from the base of the tree. Roberto did offer me a winter quote which I took advantage of. Roberto was very helpful. since I had to reschedule the take down due to a health issue. Today the Lopez men (11-12) and at least 5-6 trucks showed up. Eduardo greeted me and reverified the work to be done. Then the tree cutting began. Three men in the tree and enough men to control the dropping of the tree branches. They literally didn't stop (except for a brief lunch.) I cannot say how throughly I endorse Lopez Tree Service. The work was excellent. It was professionally done. A big thank you to Mr Lopez and his team. The storm brought down a huge piece of our healthy tree and it was too much for us to resolve on our own. While another tree service said our only option was to cut down the entire tree, the Lopez team dealt solely with the broken limb. We may later lose the tree but Mr Lopez was open to working to save it, at least for as long as possible. He also showed us where it was compromised and it another piece fell, how that would happen, which comforted us to know it was far from the house and cars. He provided an estimate during the discussion and his team came the following afternoon. They didn't hurt our yard with equipment and didn't leave a mess of wood chips. There's other work we will opt to do later when the expense can be budgeted rather than a surprise. I hate that our tree was hurt and paying money for the fix also hurt! He scheduled a time to come and trim but did not show up or contact me or answer several texts. What a great company! I wanted some garden paths redone- I had done them myself years ago and they were overgrown and hard to walk on. Lopez understood exactly what I wanted and they did the job in one (extremely hot) day! I wanted them to add on edging and they accommodated that adjustment for very little more. And it was very reasonably priced. Plus they were just lovely people. Only a few speak English but Esteban, the manager, spoke excellent English. This was a minor hurdle overall. On a Thursday, I called them for a quote, and on Monday, their crews were on site. I appreciated the fast service. As for their work, they worked fast and carefully. I've had tree guys that looked as if they were one slip up away from killing themselves, but the Lopez crew worked safely and methodically. They cleaned the job site as they worked, which I appreciated. Even though they used large equipment to move huge sections of trunk, they left the yard looking good -- just a few minor divots. Great quote and great service! They cut down three dead ash trees and took out the stumps as well. They did twice the amount of work for a much lower price than the other companies I got quotes from (the other companies wanted to leave the stumps). They are professional, fast, skilled and clean up the work site nicely. I was a little bit worried because two of the trees they were cutting down were in difficult areas, one was close to a fence and the other close to an ornamental pond. There was no damage to either the fence or the pond. When the rest of my ash trees eventually have to be cut down, I will call the Lopez team. I would absolutely recommend their services. read more

Lopez Tree Service recently cut down three extremely large trees for me and the crew was incredible! One 90 foot tree was next to a storage barn, and I was a little concerned due to the proximity of the tree to the barn. The tree trimmer cut and dropped each section with such precision that he never came close to the barn. The crew was professional and meticulous. When they finished their cleanup, my yard was cleaner than it has been since last summer. I highly recommend Lopez and plan on using them to trim several of my larger trees this spring. read more

Got an estimate and within a week sent a text to the same number as the estimate accepting the bid. Then followed seven phone calls to their various phone numbers, each time either speaking to someone or leaving a message. They said they would call me, could do the job "next week", would send their insurance information. Never did any of that happen. After seven phone calls, I have given up on Lopez. They have too many different people answering their phone numbers (at least five different numbers), they do not communicate with each other effectively, I'm not sure they even have insurance after my four requests for that proof, and I doubt they actually want to do any jobs, at least during busy season. I would have appreciated their telling me that so I could hire another group without having wasted three weeks waiting for Lopez. Sometimes the lowest bid is not worth the grief. read more
