You may find that it takes less time to get an appointment with her as a new patient. That said and as a very long time patient her exams are not like they used to be. They are more superficial and speedy. However, that seems to be the way most medical care is practiced nowadays. And if the skin on your lips are peeling and the advice you get is to use Vaseline I suggest you try a different toothpaste. Many have an ingredient that causes some people's lips to peel. Sensydyne is recommended by my dentist and no peeling skin on lips. The staff at the 'new' office is excellent.

I was told all three could be addressed during the visit, but that a full skin check would need to be scheduled separately, which was completely fine. But, once I was in the exam room, I was told they would only look at one concern and that I'd need to schedule additional appointments to review the other two (suspicious AF freckles), plus another visit for a full skin exam. This ended up being a waste of my time and copayment, since it was not what was communicated when I booked the appointment. Hands down, one of the worst patient experiences I've had in a long time.

Six years ago I developed a red rash in the middle of my back. I'm an avid runner so I assumed it…read morewas attributed to friction caused by my sports bra. Over the next two years the rash would fade and then gradually come back. When the itching and burning finally got to a point I could no longer tolerate, I went to see a dermatologist. He gave me a very brief exam, told me that I was having an allergic reaction, and directed me to take Benadryl until I could rule out what was causing the breakout. (I should mention here, I despise taking any kind of medication.) Not wanting to endure the grogginess caused by an antihistamine for any length of time, I immediately eliminated anything and everything I thought had caused the rash. Laundry detergent.
