Overall, great place to reset yourself. I started off as 5150, but then it turned into a 5250. They…read moreheld me the full 14 days. I classify this asylum as a ritz-Carlton. The staff is so friendly, it feels like they are the chik-fil-a of hospitals. You will not go hungry here. But you will get bored of eating the same food every time. For snack time I got 2 milks, 2 pb&j sandwiches, and got granola bars and snuck them into my room in case I got hungry when food isn't available. I had to go to court. I was ordered by a judge to take my medicine and stay in the hospital. One day, it was action packed! There was a guy who charged at a metal exterior door and he escaped for a little bit. Honestly, I thought about doing the same thing, but I couldn't risk getting my time extended because my family is going on vacation a week after my discharge. You get to see the different levels of severity of mental illness. There was one lady who looked like she could have been a professional model if she never did drugs. She flipped her food tray during lunch and made a huge mess. Staff is super friendly. Elizabeth (social worker), sorry for pestering you that one day. Also I stole a few towels. I didn't steal the blanket, I thought that would be too much. It was at this hospital that I realized I have a dual diagnosis of Savant syndrome Bipolar (not schizoaffective)(I don't hallucinate) Alcohol and drug abuse. I gained like 20 pounds here from eating 3 meals a day and 3 large snacks a day and doing zero exercise. I'm writing this the morning after my discharge. I'm starting to accept after like ten years I need some medicine to keep me level-headed. I did and am going to do therapy to be normal. I'm going to do this cuz the girl I live wants me to "get (my) shit together." I tend to be fearless and extremely ambitious when I am manic. Then sometimes I am depressed and just want a gun to pop myself. I was homeless in my car and on the sidewalks too. Overall, I am being rehabilitated correctly with a solid foundation. I want to be rehabilitated and be normal so that I can win her back.

Literally the worst providers and system "health" or otherwise- I've had the misfortune of…read morevisiting. super unprofessional, lacking basic caring and compassion, unskilled providers, and general demeanor that fails at excellence and does not meet even the most basic standard of care. they deserve zero stars. Never send your kids here
