Our home-buying journey began at the craziest of times in Austin real estate: January 2021. We had no idea what we were doing and were intimidated and bewildered as all hell. Matt could not have been more patient, friendly, and encouraging, and it helped our spirits immensely. We learned so much from him about how the market was going, what our best chances were, how to go about getting what we wanted....the whole shebang. Since the market was so insane and given our financial outlook, ultimately we decided to build a house in Kyle. The whole process went super smoothly thanks to Matt. Unfortunately the building process did not go so smoothly, thanks to material and labor shortages...but even though Matt's role was technically done, he helped us deal with the builder for a full 19 MONTHS between our signing for the house and closing on the house. Matt helped us get answers from the builder when they didn't respond to us; he helped us navigate the entire process. He was there for us every step of the way. I can't count how many times my husband or I said "Thank GOD for Matt!!" At the start of this whole home-buying adventure, I dreaded having to deal with a realtor. While I was always happy with service I got from the "other guys" ( a very respected local Austin Realtor) I often wondered if the service was worth 3%, especially as a seller. Turns out it wasn't. After failing to close a deal with my former realtor, I hooked up with Jovio in order to lessen the blow of fees. I was concerned that I wouldn't get good communication or that I would somehow get lost in the cracks. Nothing could be further from the truth. I had a team at my disposal, they answered every text, email or call (often within minutes) and we ended up getting a sale and closing with no issues. It saved me a ton a cash. One major issue I've reported multiple times is a loose stair nose that poses a serious safety hazard. Despite bringing it to their attention over 4 months ago, they have failed to fix the issue. Today, I almost fell due to their negligence, and now the stair nose is completely broken, making the stairs even more dangerous. Rai, who handles these requests, has shown no urgency in addressing this. The contractors they hire are incredibly unreliable--cancelling appointments last minute, rescheduling, and then never showing up or responding. This company's lack of professionalism and care for its tenants' well-being is shocking. I would strongly recommend against renting or buying from them, as they clearly don't take safety or customer service seriously.
