Makes sense since they have to get pre-approved for insurance payments (mine is approved for 12-sessions in advance). He tested the pain in the right elbow and then placed some needles in my left knee and ankle and then tested the pain again and it was nearly all gone immediately. Another time I went in for a queasy stomach that wouldn't go away. He gave me some Chinese herbs to drink and while I think most people would be challenged by the taste, I actually liked the way it tasted like earth. In any case it fixed me up completely. The latest thing was my left shoulder had been oddly impinged when trying to raise it up (like when you put on a coat). Once again, a few needles and it improved greatly. Of course I went in a few more times to make sure the channel stayed open. I like to combine the acupuncture session with a cranio-sacral session. David is so calm and thoughtful. I know I can count on him to really pay attention to what I need. I cannot recommend him more highly. If you schedule an appointment you might want to schedule two or three a few days apart because he is super busy and tends to be booked out a long ways. Absolutely worth the wait!

At 34 weeks pregnant and only 6 weeks to go, you would think I could manage to ignore the pain and…read moresuffering I was experiencing since around 22 weeks just a little longer...but I finally listened to my doctor after every other obvious treatment (tylenol, staying off my feet, support belts) to eliminate the Severe Symphysis Pubic Dysfunction (SPD) and Belly pains (from what ended up being 5 finger ab separation-"diastasis recti") failed to suffice....and check out acupuncture for the first time in my life. What did I have to lose? I was desperate for any improvement as 6 more weeks seemed like an eternity! I went to the first available acupuncturist I could find within my insurance network and after 1 visit, I didn't feel any improvement, nor did I expect to after 1 session, but since I was desperate, I thought I might as double down and try another acupuncturist the same week that a friend recommended and up my chances. This visit was with the incredible Jeremy Rothenberg. On our first meeting, he allowed ample time to listen to my concerns and issues and was genuinely anxious to do everything he could to rid me of my ailments right then and there. After that first session with him, it was like "MAGIC!" I exclaimed as I got up from his acupuncture table and felt NO pain instantly. It seemed impossible since my pain was so severe, I was mystified and amazed at the same time. The pain reappeared later that day but to have been relieved of it for even hours, was simply a miracle. I quickly booked up Jeremy's calendar and returned as often as I could for these miraculous sessions and with each session, the absence of pain grew longer and before I knew it, I delivered my healthy baby boy (with a much easier delivery than my first which I wouldn't be surprised is also a result of my acupuncture treatments with Jeremy). Thankfully, after the birth, my SPD and belly aches disappeared immediately and entirely, but once I am out of the newborn phase and more independent, I plan to return to Jeremy's office to maintain my overall good health and I recommend him to everyone I can in the meantime!
