My doctor referred me to Mary Gorman when I was having back pain. Mary was very patient with me,…read moreand she was able to come up with different exercises when I said that the exercise she wanted me to do was causing pain. My core was so weak that most any exercise put a strain on my back. Mary worked with me, modified the exercise, and within weeks, my core was being strengthed and the back pain was abating. Mary showed me how to sleep so I didn't put stress on my back, recommended shoes, and gave me new exercises as my back began to heal. Recently I developed tendonitis. Again, the doctor (actually NP this time) recommended physical therapy. I knew Mary was a good physical therapist, but I figured I needed to see a podiatrist. When I visited the podiatrist, he recommended I see a physical therapist! So Mary is helping me again. If you need a physical therapist, I would highly recommend Mary Gorman. She is very good at what she does and has lots of creative ideas for how to resolve body pain. Plus, she is a really warm and kind person, and a delight to be around!

For instance, Nando did not know what a cognitive distortion was, he had been so certain that he defined it right when he had not had even a slight grasp on what it was. Strange. I later found this out and brought it up to him, no response on that though. He also is horrible at conducting business, he does not seem very meticulous with scheduling by any means. I had arrived on time, he had a flaw in scheduling, (which he had said was impossible because he NEVER messed up and was serious) and seemed to be irritated at me for arriving late and had given me a lecture on punctuality and seemed to be angry though insisting that he had never gotten angry. I am sorry, I am not grading him harshly he is not doing good by humanity with the way that he goes about counseling, it just is not his thing. With the way he was with me I do not even think that his Tai Chi coaching is something he should be in, because he says some very cutting remarks. All and all, really unprofessional I would not suggest him to my worst enemy and that is the honest truth. Do not go to him, good thing he does not counsel children. When I had left his business I felt more like crap then when I came in, because he made me very self-conscious. Take my word for it, not a very nice man.

I want to talk about the group classes here a little bit because they are so awesome! In the classes she guides and teaches us how to do energy clearing, energy healing, meditation, channel energy, medicine wheel, intuitive development, etc. I really enjoy the classes because we are all able to learn new things/tools from Nancy and from each other. We receive different perspectives from each other, and learn how each of us perceives our thoughts/mind, energy, letting go/holding on, healing, creativity, suffering, pain, patterns, inner child, etc and how we handle, overcome, practice, strategize, and utilize all these different areas in our lives. It really opens up your mind to so many different aspects and teaches me new ways to look at things; A better understanding of people, life, ourselves, and spirituality. She doesn't claim to be a physician, but her insights into my mental state proved decisive in helping me control my lower back pain, the cause and treatment of which had previous eluded an orthopedist, a chiropractor, a massage professional, an acupuncturist, and two physical therapists. As you can imagine, I was mightily impressed. Dr. Low isn't married to any one theory or course of treatment. She sizes up you, your symptoms and what might be causing them, then gravitates to whatever approach actually works.
