When my previous hairstylist moved away, I turned to Yelp to hunt for a new one. I remembered that Jade Salon had previously partnered with the Yelp NC Triad Elites, so I knew I would be in good hands. My best friend had attended the event and enjoyed her time spent with Brandi, so I decided to schedule with her too! When I entered the door, I felt warmly welcomed by the sunny receptionists. This was no surprise when they brought that same energy when confirming my appointment over the phone ahead of time. The natural light that spills through the many windows really sets the tone for a relaxing service. Complimentary coffee, tea, water, or wine is also offered to enjoy during your service. I appreciate Brandi's chill, down-to-earth vibe. She is great for conversation, but also allows you to quietly enjoy your service, too, if that's what suits your mood (even if you accidentally fall asleep in her chair). I was excited when Brandi told me that she had a chocolate brown color that she had been perfecting, and I was happy to be her canvas. The color turned out beautifully, and I've returned twice to maintain it because the grays just never quit. It's a breeze to rebook services, especially if you want the same thing. I added a gloss to my service on my most recent visit based on Brandi's recommendation, since it helps bolster the color through the root. I started going here over 10 years ago. I am the type that calls last minute and gets whoever is available. I have seen all the stylist from beginner to master. I always have had a great experience. I have seen both esthetician's, they are fantastic! The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is so relaxing. I've been going to Jade Aveda in Friendly Center for over 10 years, and recently my stylist Amanda switched to their new location on Battleground, and it is a wonderful place!! Just getting here and getting a parking space can spark joy. I don't know about you, but I get stressed out by going to Friendly Center. The atmosphere and ambience when you enter is aesthetically pleasing, with an open space concept, bright natural light and a soothing decor. I came here for my usual Color and cut, and was happy with the results, Amanda always knows what I need, and I leave feeling pampered, especially after the soothing neck massage! You can always stock up on your products to take home, and don't forget to check your credit card for any offers associated Aveda products - you could get cash back! Pricing is reasonable, but as always subject to individual opinion. I had a lot of color that had to be used, due to the length of my hair, and a cut, so while it was upwards of $200, I felt it was worth all the money! Jade salon is not only stunning aesthetically, but my hairdresser, bayleigh, was absolutely fantastic! Upon coming in the natural light and decor made me feel comfortable and at ease. They offered me water, coffee and even hot tea while I waited (only about 5 minutes) for bayleigh. She washed my hair and gave me a wonderful mini facial. My skin and hair felt so refreshed after! Bayleigh was kind and attentive, she listened to all my needs and my haircut looks so great! She even threw in some samples of a shaping spray I mentioned I liked. Just went above and beyond!!!! It has been a blessing finding a hair stylist that takes the time for my very thick hair and mixed hair types. Friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere. This salon is very cute, had a nice relaxed vibe. Rachel did a great job cutting my hair. I had never been in here before, so she did a great job asking questions to make sure she knew what I wanted. After she finished, she specifically asked if I had any concerns about anything or if there was anything I noticed that I wanted her to revisit, which I thought was nice (but unnecessary since she did a great job). I asked her to do something a little different than what I normally do (try to bring out some natural curl in my hear instead of making it straight), so she was also able to recommend some new products for me that I was purchased to try to replicate the style at home. They also concluded with little extra something - I chose the shoulder massage but you could also get a hand/arm massage and one other choice - which was a nice finish.
