Due to this attorney's poor organization, lousy management, and general inability to remember both client information and conversations with his clients, I've lost not only thousands of dollars, I've lost time with my aging parent, time that I'll never get back. I hired Iman in hopes of helping me with a dispute over seeing a family member, and what should of been a simple court appearance, his lack of ability to manage the case he kept dragging the case along, pushing back the court dates, due his "other case" which seemed to always be a problem for him to manage (this is an online court appearance, shouldn't of taken more than an hour of his time). Each time we talked I had to restate the facts to him over and over, as if he wasn't able to remember basic details or concentrate on information I sent to him via phone/text/email. Of course, the urgency of being able to see my family member as they have declining health has made me desperate to move the case along, only to have Iman over and over push the court date due his "other case". He claimed to talk to the other attorney in the dispute, but offered no viable outcome outside of court proceedings. In the end after wasting thousands of dollars and him demanding more, it became clear he's just trying to make as much money as possible, taking advantage of my eagerness to resolve the case as well as my limited time due to being in the middle of a complex move. On April 2017, I was desperately looking for an Atty to help me with my Restraining Order case that I have filled in the civil court. I needed someone trustworthy and reliable that would help me to defeat a stalker, harasser, and evil being disturbing my peace and ruining my relationships. I got one referral but I wasn't sure about his abilities, so I came to yelp and reached out a few other attys. Finally Jaffrey called me back, we met to discuss the case, and I have to say that he was primarily very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. He told me: Don't worry, we will get this done, I'm gonna help you because you are a good person, and what you are going trough is not fair. I trusted him! I didn't have the money, my case was one week from the hearing, and I wanted him to write a response for me before hearing. I borrowed the money with a friend, since I was going through intensive and expensive anxiety treatment for same reason I filed the RO, and paid him the flat fee to defend me from beginning to end of this. Quite expensive I have to say! He never filed my response... for him it wasn't important even though to me it was crucial to have an answer on public records for the lies stated by the other side. The day before the hearing I contacted him because I was being pressured to drop the case. He never got back to me until the morning of the hearing. When we met over there, I had my witnesses all there, to testify on my behalf and win this case that at that point was more than just an RO it was a matter of justice. The opposite side was trying all their cards to make an agreement, I was clear to Jaffrey many times that I didn't want an agreement, I wanted justice! He finally told me: "Let's just hear what they have to say. I promise you that if she breaks the agreement, I will refile the case as a criminal lawsuit, no longer in the civil court, and I will put my charges on her. You won't pay me anything." For that ONLY reason I sat down with them to hear the BS they wanted me to swallow it down. And ONLY because of Jaffrey and ONLY because he told me that I wouldn't have to pay him if she breaks the agreement, cause I knew she would break it and it didn't take more than 2weeks for that,then I accepted the stipulation. In resume, case was dismissed, and not even the stipulation he got them to sign. I paid $2k just for him to show up in court and drag me to an agreement that he knew I wasn't happy to do it. He wasn't on my side and once she broke the agreement I reached him out to refile the case and he told me that he had never told me that would have no charge. I have no doubt of what he told me because that was the ONLY and EXCLUSIVE reason why I accepted to try an agreement, which it was not good for me and it wasn't signed even though conditions was entered in court. Jaffrey you ruined my life! You ruined the only chance I had to make wrong right! You made me lose my dignity, reputation, relationships, in depth my life! I cannot even express here how much I regret for have listened to you, but who else would I listen to? You were my advisor, and still these days I question myself if you weren't bribed by the other party, cause I know that's her common practice with other parties' attorneys. Today, I live a worse hell than the one I was when I found you.. and that is all because I couldn't prove that I was the victim in this controversial story.. you induced me to do what I done with a fake promise of backing me up, and $2000 was just an appearance in court that barely took 3hrs. I believe if I have chosen anyone else to defend me, at least I would get a defense, but all I got from you was my life more ruined than before.
