The starters were ribs with salt and chilli and the lettuce cups with pork. The ribs were really meaty and flavourful. I only got to steal one from my partner's plate. That is a sign of his loving them. He is always on the search for ribs. The lettuce wraps filling was great. Full of vegetables (peas, mushrooms, corn and ginger) but the lettuce was a bit off as it was hard to break into. But this was of no consequence as having the filling on its own was pretty good. For the mains, we had the chicken with ginger and scallions and the Singapore noodles. The chicken was great nice slices of white meat and a clear sauce. It went down nice with some white rice and for me more hot sauce. The noodles were really nice and I wish my appetite was bigger but after the hefty lunch will be taking the rest home! The curry flavour is very subtle and not powdery as seems to be the case at times. We did feel a little under-dressed for the ambience, and had it been an evening meal I would definitely have felt uncomfortable in my casual attire. The food however was absolutely delicious. Even though my dish was basically Thai-style fish and chips, the haddock in its light batter simply melted on the tongue. Altogether the best lunchtime meal I've had in a long time.
