Expectations are a funny thing. When it comes to selling or buying a home one has expectations…read morebased on what they know. But what do we really know about buying and selling homes when it's not something that we do everyday? This is where Jewson Properties came into play. We literally walked in blind and unsure of what we could get for our house and what we could afford in terms of buying a new one. Jay and Bree Jewson did a full assessment of our ability to move into town by looking at what our current home was worth, projecting how and when it would sell what we could possibly put down on a new home. They took the time to walk through our home and helped us figure out what needed to be fixed, what needed to be replaced, and an estimate of what all that would entail financially. We took their advice (I can't stress enough to you how important this was) and the house went on the market. Hours later, we had multiple offers. This is when the expertise of this duo really came to life. What do you accept, what do you counter with, what kind of details through the negotiation process are important, all of these things taken care of by two professionals, what a joy to witness. Of course, we couldn't have known for sure that we would get the best possible outcome, but we knew that it was possible based on the projections that they gave us going into the process. Well, the end result was exactly that, more than we were asking and more than we could've hoped for. At the same time, on the other end was the purchase of our new home, a delicate situation dealing with an estate and multiple owners of a home that they all grew up in. We ended up closing on our new home the same day that we sold our old home, a process that was made so easy that it was easy to forget how much time and effort went into it. There was never a question that was asked where we were made to feel dumb for asking, and there was never a moment when they wouldn't take time out of their day to reassure us that everything was going to be okay.
