I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Petco Vet in Needham…read more I booked an appointment specifically for a ProHeart 12 injection -- nothing else. When I arrived, I clearly stated that I was there for the heartworm injection (ProHeart 12). The nurse asked when my dog had her last injection, took her vitals, and later came back saying that all tests were negative and that we were waiting for the veterinarian. When the vet came in, I again explained that we were there for the ProHeart 12 injection. I was then told that they do not provide the injection. I was honestly shocked and frustrated because the entire reason for my appointment was something that apparently was not offered. If I had known beforehand that they did not carry or administer ProHeart 12, I would never have booked the appointment or agreed to additional testing. I was still charged $70 for the SNAP test, a test I would not have done there under these circumstances. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication and the way my concerns were handled. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or trying to help, the veterinarian was dismissive and essentially told me "good luck" finding a vet in New England who carries ProHeart 12. A simple clarification when booking the appointment could have saved me time, money, and a lot of frustration. This was a very disappointing experience.

Shortly after, he turned into the devil…read more I signed up for the 5 private lessons package because I realized we needed private attention. She came to my condo promptly each time. I scheduled at my convenience, leaving a long period between my 4th and 5th sessions. Ida diagnosed my puppy son with dominance, very rare at that early of an age. I had diagnosed him with asshole, and it seemed I was right. She taught me how to show him I was the boss and get him in line. She also taught him all the important commands and gave me homework to strengthen those commands between lessons. She truly got into my dog's head and turned him into a wonderful companion. He is now 8 months old and my best friend. I still call Ida here and there for other problems I have like housekeeping or barking. She suggested a bell he could ring to tell me when he needs to go out and now he uses it every time. I have suggested several friends use Ida. She is a miracle worker.

Her schedule is more flexible than anywhere else I have boarded and/or had Jackie cared for. Drop off/pick up times are easy. She has even been kind enough to pick up Jackie on occasion or drop her off if my and my family's schedule is tight. Jackie loves going to Terry's and has had no issues while at daycare barring the occasional alpha-muscle flexing but with my dog that's typical (she's an instigator and a wuss-- she gets beat up more than I'd like to admit). As long as the weather isn't horrendous Jackie always comes home happy and tired. Fair prices too!
