A lovely, prompt, sweet grooming experience! My mom brings her pup there so Stanley went and we were thrilled with the speed and quality of work. Staff was lovely and my doggo was playing when I arrived. Love it!

My sweet boy, Nemo, LOVES Tail Waggerz. The staff are great, and he is always excited to go to school. We started taking him when we moved back to the area in January. Prior to COVID-19, he would also be boarded there when my partner and I traveled. I know I can trust that he will be well taken care of when he stays with them. We have continued to take Nemo to Tail Waggerz a few days a week, even though my partner and I are working from home, so he can get his play on and see his friends. Nemo has the excited wiggles when he gets to go play with friends, and he loves the people and dogs he gets to play with. Highly recommend to anyone looking to socialize their doggies!

My dog, Finley, has been going to Tail Waggerz for the last 6 months and absolutely loves it there! He enjoys being able to play with the other dogs and getting lots of attention. The employees are so kind and know who he is before I even say his name. When I pick him up, they always tell me stories about the day (mostly how he never wants to come in from the outdoors when it's freezing outside)! I really appreciate have such reliable people that I can count on for dog care! Can't recommend them enough.

My dog Cross loves Tailwaggerz. Most mornings he wakes us up and marches right downstairs ready to hop in the car and head to see all his friends. Robyn and Joe are the embodiment of dog people creating a fun, safe environment for pups of all ages. I look forward to Cross being a part of the Tailwaggerz family for years to come.

    After Tail Waggerz disaster!!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have not written a yelp review, good or bad in a very long time. Years. However, after my labradoodle came home from getting groomed here I feel compelled as there is nothing else to be done. Our dog went in to have her body trimmed down since we are headed south for a month. My husband dropped her off in the morning and gave them instructions to trim her body short and just take a little off of the top of her head as it was a little long. He specifically said not to trim around her eyes/nose as we usually keep these areas longer and trim them ourselves. My husband--busy packing for a week long work trip (not to mention helping me his sick wife at home with our 11 week old baby)--picked her up but didn't have time to complain on the spot. When I saw her I almost cried. I was furious. Not only does she look like a schnauzer, meaning her nose has been shaved down, her face is trimmed all unevenly and blunt. Her tail looks somewhat like a French poodle's. It's horrific and we are pissed. I did call and spoke to Donna who offered to fix it if I could bring her in again. Unfortunately, hair cannot be glued back onto her face. Instead I'm having a hairdresser friend try to fix it tonight. What a disaster. Was this Simone's first time seeing a labradoodle??? Never mind giving one a haircut. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Every time I look st her I'm saddened. Ugh. Never going back.

    Oh, hi!

My wife and I have used Tail Waggerz for boarding, daycare, and grooming. In doing so, we have done thousands of dollars of business with Tail Waggerz. We have two Alaskan Klee Kai, and we are extremely satisfied with how our dogs are treated, and how wonderful it is to have cage-free boarding where our pups can interact with other dogs. Boarding & Daycare: Your dog must "pass" a trial run, meaning they don't let dogs return that don't interact well with the other dogs. Additionally, they enforce strict pick-up and drop-off hours to maintain a calm pack. Whatever the specifics, their system works. They have morning and evening drop-off hours. This does require significant planning, but the payoff is that your dog doesn't stay in an unfamiliar kennel, which can create anxiety. For boarding they do have * open* kennels for overnight use, if your dog prefers that (dogs that are kenneled at home may prefer seclusion for sleep). Our dogs come back the same way we left them. Tails wagging, tongues out, but they often sleep for hours when they return home. It's like a continuous walk... they love it and the social interaction has allowed our dogs, who are typically shy with other dogs, to become better socialized. The staff often post photos of the dogs to the company Facebook page, here: https://www.facebook.com/tailwaggerzpetcare/ I would recommend for boarding that you consider a "departure bath" as they have smelled ripe and have required a bath upon their arrival home. Grooming: The dogs smell and look great after. Enough said. We have AKK which can be very challenging in terms of energy levels and as they can be shy/standoffish with new people. This has *not* been an issue at TailWaggerz. Also, Rachel who works there, has an AKK and takes particularly good care of our pups. Boarding in the Boston area is pricey, and TailWaggerz is certainly no exception. That said, I feel like I am paying for a great service here. Highly recommended.

I am extremely careful and persnickety when leaving a family member with someone else. I did a lot of research, interviewed several places and I wanted to share about my experience Skipton Kennel and their doggie daycare program. This is my first experience with needed a service like this because we recently got a new puppy. He has gone a few times at the Waltham location and in my opinion it is FANTASTIC and the staff is AWESOME. I was so impressed with the care and concern of the owner Karen for my new puppy. She asked all the right questions and quickly responded to my questions. The staff is also so attentive to my needs and more importantly my puppy's needs. He has gone several times now and each time he has received the best care possible from all of them. He is active and gets to socialize, run, and play with other dogs/puppies with his same temperament. When I have picked him up he is calm, very relaxed and tired. He is never stressed but always happy to come home. This makes me feel very at ease leaving him in such a wonderful place. I am happy to recommend Skiption to anyone who would need a daycare service for their dog.

The ongoing pandemic made contacting trainers/organizations and coordinating the initial meeting…read moretricky especially with the pet adoption boom. I admittedly got my hopes up when I saw Active Paws business given her numerous qualifications even in agility work and immediate availability to schedule a session immediately over the summer. Her rates started at $120/hour which seemed standard after also conferring with other personal dog trainer contacts. As you can tell by the low rating the stars did not align as a mutual fit. The website was easy to navigate and Cara the owner was very responsive. You can easily schedule an appointment on there for personalized training. Perhaps we didn't pick a neutral enough location now knowing what we know now (after finding on site in person group puppy classes) to set our pup up for success over the summer at 3.5 months old and 20 lbs. Unfortunately Cara came up to our back deck which may have been interpreted as an interloper encroaching on her territory so as a puppy with bad manners she barked incessantly. She threw some small pieces of mozzarella cheese that didn't interest the pup (we are realizing now she's not super food motivated). That "reactive" behavior was enough to confirm to Cara after a serious bite earlier in the week to "pass" on training our dog. We still got the folder with pamphlets, and branded pen and clicker as she quickly retreated. Maybe in retrospect we should have met up at a park instead of our property. Granted this was the reaction that our puppy has when uncertain in greeting most new people but once she sniffs them she calms down quickly once she sees that we are friendly with them. The damage was done. Cara immediately followed up through email with an apology and a couple links to other (more expensive) trainers, one of whose website wasn't even working. I flutily attempted to reach out but also received no response so those were dead ends too. As for the socialization aspect she recommended a place all the way down in Franklin, and the MSPCA Angell which was not operational or equipped to respond during the pandemic (over the summer). Of course this experience left me completely demoralized and slightly jaded. I sometimes see their branded vehicles parked at the Dog Ranch area and walkers taking dogs around there to go walking. Thankfully we were able to enroll her in puppy daycare and now start some group training classes I alluded to earlier at the beginning of this year for adolescent pups. Funny enough she's now one of the least reactive dogs in her classes.

He's ALREADY doing so much better it's WILD honestly. Puppy photo included just because LOOKIT HIM. To be more specific: Cara made the core concepts behind training my dog very easy to understand, provided me with references for when I get stressed and forget, and left me feeling empowered to have a fantastic relationship with my dog.
