They asked that we update our review, and we told them we would do so once we actually received the refund. The refund showed up today, so here we are updating the review as promised. That said, the company continued to be somewhat pushy after our original review, repeatedly asking us to change it. We understand that a negative review isn't helpful for their brand, but our original review was simply an honest summary of our experience. Ultimately, I personally would not recommend this company. After three attempts to schedule and complete the work, they contacted us at the exact time of the third rescheduled appointment to let us know they would not be coming. At that point, we went with another company that completed the job within 24 hours of us reaching out, and for a similar price. We're not going to say you should completely avoid this company, but we would recommend being cautious and having a backup plan in case things don't go as expected. We ask that the company stop contacting us regarding our review or expressing their dissatisfaction with it. Our review reflects our genuine experience, and we stand by what we shared. They handled the paperwork, paid cash on the spot, and made getting rid of my car much simpler than I expected. I called several towing companies looking for a rough estimate and some guidance on getting rid of my 2010 Toyota Corolla. Since I wasn't familiar with the process, I had a lot of questions, but most places seemed uninterested and weren't very helpful. I found Sell A Junker through Google, called, and spoke to (if I remember correctly) Riley, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how everything worked, from the assessment and towing to the title transfer and payment. He made the whole process easy to understand. They made everything pretty simple. We set up a time that worked for both of us, they came out to my car in South Minneapolis, looked it over, handled the paperwork, and paid me on the spot. They're based in Maple Grove, but coming out wasn't an issue at all. Communication was great throughout the whole process, and everything went smoothly. I was helped by Seth who was amazing as well, showed up right on time and was super kind and explained everything thoroughly and what he was willing to offer based on its condition. On the day of the pickup I received a call, as I was told to expect, telling me they were on the way. The crew was on time, professional, courteous. The quote was wrong, the movers were slow and one was exceptionally unprofessional (by any standard) cost me over 3x my estimate and there was damaged property involved and issues with fixing the problems. Don't use them. A pick up truck and 2 guys from the nursing home could be faster. I was so disappointed. 11.5 hrs instead of 3 and a half. I extensively itemized all my property as instructed as well. Should have been no issues. I wont post pictures of the day because I dont think it's fair to show them not being efficient.
