I can't say enough good things about Jane and the exceptional law services she provides. Every step…read moreof the way she is there to answer your questions thoroughly and patiently. She has provided me with outstanding estate planning services for at least 15yrs. She helped me create my Revocable Living Trust initially in 2008 and revise it in 2021, which can be a daunting task, yet Jane eased my mind with her extensive knowledge and her warm, inviting communications. I feel I can relax now knowing that my property/assets will go where I want them to, my loved ones will avoid probate and my health care wishes are documented. My husband and I decided to not do a marriage license, instead we hv used our Trusts to appoint each other as Trustees and beneficiaries. This has made both of us feel confident that no other family member can dispute our marriage upon passing. THANKS to The Hall Doyon Law Group!!

We hired Jane Hall Doyon to update our estate plan and restate a separate property trust. The…read moreresult was not just negligent--it was unprofessional, offensive, and demeaning. When my husband asked her to move his accounts into our joint trust (which already held community property), Jane responded by joking that he might regret it if I ran off with the pool boy. That was her response to a straightforward legal request--a sexist, outdated comment that undermined me and made light of her professional responsibilities. Worse, she failed to follow through on the actual task. The account titles were never corrected, and as a result, community assets ended up held in a separate property trust--exposing us to legal and financial risk. When I raised these concerns in writing, Jane became defensive and retaliatory. Instead of addressing the issue, she threatened to expose private communications and claimed that by writing a review, we'd be waiving attorney-client privilege. Her handling of confidentiality was equally disturbing. When I asked her to remove her husband from sensitive communications, she dismissed the concern entirely--referring to him as her "staff" and saying that all of her staff can see all emails anyway. It was not only a violation of reasonable client expectations of privacy, it was frankly demeaning--to me and to her own husband. Jane is the epitome of a "Karen"--entitled, arrogant, sexist woman--someone who betrays professional ethics and basic respect while hiding behind a law license. I wouldn't trust her to handle anything, let alone a family's estate plan.

I was left with quite a mess as the Trustee of my mom's estate, which was a journey long before I…read morecalled Justin. My situation was an 8-year stint which involved a mom with Alzheimer's, a sister out of state, a house with an encumbrance that my sister and I inherited, a court date, buying my sister out with an enormous loan, lots of paperwork and documents, and a property tax situation. Justin handled this entire process with professionalism. He is very down to earth and such a wonderful person, that it made a complicated matter much more doable. We needed other professionals as well -- a new trust CPA, a property tax expert, and a hard money lender -- and he referred us to all of these nice quality people, who have been incredibly helpful. This made everything easier as we were, many times when necessary, on an email thread together, working symbiotically, which simplified everything. Having worked with attorneys as a court reporter for many years and also having hired a quirky attorney prior to Justin who handled previous matters, moving on and hiring Justin on a fairly complicated matter was a delight and actually resolved some issues that couldn't seem to get resolved with the previous attorney. I always felt confident that he had my back and that "he's got this." Along with being a very professional attorney, I really like him as a person. Although most everything is coming to a close, with a few last hurdles that my husband and I will handle, I will miss talking to Justin! Lastly, how I found him was on Yelp, and what convinced me to hire Justin were all of the other wonderful reviews from his past clients. Hire Justin because you won't be disappointed! :-)
