Anyway, I started working with Ms. Phillips in March, 2014 after it was proven to be impossible to come to an agreement with my ex-wife. Over the years I have heard quite a few horror stories from divorcees about how their attorneys just dragged out the process to make more money and cared very little for their client's emotional state during the process; however my experience with Ms. Philips turned out to be the exact opposite in both regards. Ms. Philips at all times made an effort to move the process forth to keep fees at a minimum and this was not an easy task because opposing counsel did the exact opposite. Additionally Ms. Philips was a rock during the process and more than once steadied my nerves during preparation and before going into the court room. A woman of strong faith, her insights and encouraging emails were of great help to me through this difficult process. I believe they should have fought a little harder. I only got the smallest percentage of it all of the $10,000 offer i only got a little over 22% of the cut the attorney and insurance adjustments and all got the better cut than me! Which to me is a little unfair. For the most part I was as patient as I could be throughout the whole situation.
