The food here is very good. It may take while to get your food cause it's made when to order, nothing made ahead. You get chips, salsa, and refried beans to start with. They also come around to check on your drinks and chips etc. often. When your food comes, look out cause it's A Lot. We have never been disappointed in anything we've order and we go there often. Yelp you are usually truth worthy but you let me down. Maybe the 4 stars is because it's the only Mexican food in town?? The hot sauce is primarily vinegar with tomato chunks and the rest of the food was literally tasteless. My husband said maybe we had COVID but I told him I can taste bad food. Food was good. I had the cheese enchiladas with chili con queso on top. Lots of cheese! Beans and rice were good also. They bring out a bean dip along with the chips and salsa. That was a nice change from your typical Mexican restaurant. Service was a bit slow. read more

Service here was great. Tea and water was quickly refilled and food order was correct. I had the special which included enchiladas and I found they were too greasy. They had a pool of bright orange grease around them. The beans and rice were delicious and the guac was so very good. Sweet tea is the best in town in my opinion. We tried this restaurant after finding another place closed for Saturday breakfast. We did not realize that they only do breakfast on Sunday. Oh well, it was 10:30, so we went ahead and ate lunch. We had the Poblano Nachos with beef. They were very good. We will most likely come here again on a Sunday for breakfast. read more

Took my out of town sister for lunch today and had to kindly ask the waitress to stand on one side of table furthest from her because she's allergic to perfume of which the waitress was loaded with. No big deal but evidently this didn't sit to well with the waitress who instantly had an attitude but tried to hide it.We both ordered the premium mini tacos that came with fixings but the waitress didn't get the order quite right and ours were missing the avocado, queso fresco, and the side of charro beans! We asked the waitress for a menu to confirm what our ordered was supposed to have and asked why ours was missing it, she responded we ordered the mini tacos. Well all the tacos were described as mini tacos in that column if the menu & she just neglected to hear the word PREMIUM when we ordered! She brought us the missing cheese but nothing else that was missing. No big deal we said don't worry the tacos tasted good as is. While we ate she stood at the register snickering & gossiping with the other waitresses regarding this. When we were done I mentioned to a different waitress that stopped at out table that I hoped we were being charged for the lesser tacos since we didn't get all that we ordered since our waitress quit coming to our table. When I got the bill I saw a charged of $1.99 for extra queso fresco (cheese) that should have been already included in the price and said I wasn't paying extra for her mistake and wasn't tipping her at this point! Original waitress responded loudly "I don't want your tip" along with other comments at which point I got fed up and went to the register and asked to speak to the owner. His wife came out & I told her about the attitude from the start etc., and asked for my credit card back which the waitress refused to give me back. Then both owners Ruben & wife started yelling at me saying that they didn't need to hear my complaint, then referred to a past posted review and told me to get out of their restaurant & to never come back. Don't know why they got as nasty as they did, very rude, unprofessional and completely unnecessary. Obviously they can't handle a customer pointing out their waitress's mistake, bad customer service & attitude. Needless to say I will never step foot in their establishment nor recommend it to anyone I know and am passing along a warning to any potential customers to be careful what you say regarding service & wrong orders! A shame too because the food was actually good but definitely not worth the ill treatment I got. Word of mouth and return customers for a restaurant in a very small town is extremely crucial to it's survival and if this is how they themselves as owners behave on top of condoning bad waitressing than I suspect they won't last much longer! First of all. I'm not a complainer but if I could rate them 0 stars I would. How this place is rated so highly I have no idea. The waiters/waitresses seemed like they didn't want to wait on us. It took about 15 minutes for drinks (2 waters and a Dr Pepper) which we got tea instead of the soda. It took 30 minutes for us to even get our order in and then an hour for our food. One larger party came in about 20 minutes after us and they ate and left. And then another couple came in and left and another. When we finally got our food I found 2 hairs in my food. One under my taco (I got the supreme mini tacos) and then one IN my salsa that came with the plate. When I showed this to the waitress she said "nobody has hair in the kitchen" and that "it was probably hers" like that made the situation any better. so we asked to speak to the manager who was then rude and made it seem like it was our fault. They reluctantly removed the tacos from the bill AFTER WE ASKED. The manager also stormed to the back of the kitchen mad. THEN we HAD to go to the counter to pay because they wouldn't come back to our table and then proceeded to ignore us and checked 2 others out before us. No sympathy. No remorse. Nothing. We will not be returning and suggest this restaurant learns how to treat paying customers. read more

They are going through the pains of opening a new restaurant. The service was very slow(lunch), and we had to go to the counter and get our own menus and cutlery. People came in and left without being served. Once we got our food, the platter of nachos was actually a small plate, a disappointing portion. On a positive note, their red sauce is excellent. beef fajita from jalapeños are the best ones here in el campo, tx. the waitresses give very good service! never had to complain about a single thing. PREMIUM OR REGULAR MINI TACOS are so good.
